Background

Ye Xinglan was a young Star God’s Sword wielder at Shrek when Yun Zhiyu first noticed her protecting someone despite having only recently awakened her martial soul. Though physically weaker and nearly out of soul power, Xinglan refused to lower her sword or retreat. Yun Zhiyu recognized this as the conviction of a true sword cultivator. 13

After Yun Zhiyu identified her martial soul, Xinglan’s Star God’s Sword resonated with the Xuanyuan Sword during meditation. The two formed a rare martial soul fusion skill, an event Yun Ming ordered them to keep secret until they were strong enough to protect themselves. 13 15

Yun Zhiyu later Spirit Forged a living Moonlit Gold scabbard for Xinglan’s sword.
