Background

Xie Xie is the son of Xie Xuan, head of the Xie Family. The family has inherited the Light Dragon Dagger and Shadow Dragon Dagger for generations, but their apparent compatibility conceals a fundamental conflict: the two martial souls reject and restrain one another. By Xie Xie’s generation, this flaw threatens his future cultivation. 48

Yun Zhiyu’s research in the Xie Family’s underground library identified the daggers as complementary expressions of space-time power: light represents time, while shadow represents space. Rather than forcibly merging them, she concluded that they needed to return to their shared origin under the correct conditions. 49

After the finals, Xie Xie underwent an agonizing martial-soul evolution. Yun Zhiyu guided him to unite “now” and “here,” while sacrificing a portion of her Torch Dragon Bloodline origin to stabilize the process.
