Total Annihilation
After Luffy and his crew defeated the Buggy Pirates, they continued their voyage.
As soon as they arrived on an island and while the group was still discussing their next plans, a young man with a long nose and a checkered hat appeared on the shore.
He said to Luffy and the others:
"...My eighty million subordinates won't let you off..."
Recognizing this person, Zero didn't even think before directly exposing his lie: "Fake, there's only him. No, are there three kids too?"
Hearing one of the pirates on the opposite side accurately state the number of people on each side, the long-nosed youth instantly panicked and pulled out a slingshot, aiming it at the opposite pirates.
Luffy turned solemn, and a murderous aura was visibly emitted from his body, alongside Zoro and the others next to him, who also looked at him with the eyes of prey.
"Since you've drawn your gun, you have to risk your life!"
The young man was directly frightened into collapsing to the ground.
The next moment, however, he heard the Red-Hair Pirates mentioned from Luffy's mouth, and only then did he learn that the Luffy in front of him was acquainted with his own father, Yasopp, immediately inviting Luffy and the others to head toward the village.
Before they had walked a few steps, Zero suddenly called out to the three of them:
"Luffy, Nami, Zoro."
"Zero, what is it?"
"I suddenly remembered I have some business on this island that I want to handle, you guys go ahead."
"Is that so, then go ahead!"
"I'm coming too!"
Seeing that they were all looking at him with puzzled eyes, Nami hurriedly waved her hands: "I'm just afraid Zero will get lost by himself, as the navigator on your ship anyway, isn't it my responsibility to ensure that not a single one of you gets lost?"
Hearing Nami be so persistent, Luffy and the others could only agree.
Thus the team was split into two, with Nami and Zero in one group, and Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp in the other, and the two sides parted ways after agreeing on a time and place to reunite.
Side Quest: Before the Black Cat Pirates launch an all-out attack, expose Kuro's plan. Completing the quest grants 400 experience points, Skill Lottery Ticket x1!
Zero recalled the quest that had just appeared in his mind, pondering ways to complete it, and this skill lottery ticket genuinely made him somewhat curious.
"Zero, what are you going to do now?"
"Of course, complete the mis—no, go fight monsters!"
"Monsters? You don't mean Sea Kings?????"
Seeing Nami's terrified expression, Zero couldn't help smiling.
If she knew she would face many things even more terrifying than Sea Kings in the future, would she still agree to sail together with Luffy?
"Sea Kings and all that was just a lie, hahaha!"
"Zero!!!"
Nami angrily pounced over. Zero subconsciously wanted to dodge, but then looking at Nami's pretty face, he couldn't help reaching out and pulling her into his arms, and instantly an ambiguous atmosphere spread between the two of them.
"Mm..."
Feeling Zero's broad chest and the gradually heavy panting by her ear, Nami's face instantly turned as alluring as a freshly picked flower.
Although she had shuttled through major pirate fleets over the years, using all sorts of means to steal their gold and silver treasures, this was still her first time having such a strange feeling with a boy.
The same was true for Zero. Fragrances that smelled nice were continuously emitted from Nami's hair tips, and the soft skin touched by his palms made him even more dazed and absent-minded. Even the dodge passive skill that had already been maxed out unexpectedly failed to react!
"Um, are you alright?"
"N-no, I'm fine."
Zero's sudden utterance broke this ambiguous scene.
Even though she was somewhat blushing, Nami still feigned calmness and stood back in her original spot.
The two continued walking forward, but the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.
To break this predicament, Zero looked around and slowly said: "Nami, have you ever heard of the Black Cat Pirates?"
"The Black Cat Pirates?"
Nami's attention was successfully attracted.
"What is that? Does it have to do with what you're going to do now?"
"Yeah."
Zero nodded and continued:
"That was a very famous pirate crew in the East Blue previously. Their captain is named Kuro, and he's also a very outstanding pirate."
"Oh oh, and then?"
"I just 'saw' their ship."
"!!!"
Hearing this news, Nami once again covered her mouth in shock.
"Although I don't know why they're here, I want to go take a look and confirm what reason made them stay here."
Zero said seriously.
Actually, he hadn't seen the ship of the Black Cat Pirates; he had acquired their intelligence by relying on the foresight of the plot.
Of course, he already knew why the Black Cat Pirates appeared here, but he was afraid that saying it directly wouldn't make many people believe him anyway, so he simply used the guise of going to find out, and then found an opportunity to complete the side quest!
As for Nami, she had no doubts about Zero's claim of seeing the ship of the Black Cat Pirates. After all, this man's ability truly left her unable to see through him.
Although she was also afraid, out of trust in Zero's strength, she still decided to follow him there. The intelligence Zero mentioned later about whether there would be gold and silver treasures on such a pirate ship was definitely not the main reason!
Before long, relying on Observation Haki that Zero pushed to the maximum degree, coupled with the small island which was not very large to begin with, the two quickly arrived at their destination—
A huge pirate ship that was old for a number of years!
It was parked alone like that on the shore, with countless numbers of pirates sitting or lying all over the ship. Just looking at it like this, compared to the Buggy Pirates, it could be said to be only stronger and not weaker.
Arriving here, Nami's internal judgment of Zero's ability ascended to another level. To be able to "see" the existence of this pirate ship from such a distant distance was truly unimaginable!
"Zero, are we really going to..."
Before Nami finished speaking, she turned her head and saw that Zero next to her had already walked toward the pirate ship of his own accord. She subconsciously took a step forward, only to hear Zero say without looking back: "Nami, just wait right here for me, ten minutes will be enough."
"Could it be that you want to?"
Zero didn't speak anymore, leaving Nami with only a strong and reliable back.
When Zero arrived on the ship of the Black Cat Pirates, the battle ended even faster than he had imagined.
The willpower of those pirates was extremely low; a single application of Conqueror's Haki from Zero knocked all of them unconscious. And then, two fat and thin pirates whose appearances resembled cat disguises attacked!
Although they relied on their own willpower to forcibly resist the deterrent force of Conqueror's Haki, and later wanted to use swift speed to defeat Zero, in front of Zero, who possessed Observation Haki, it was still somewhat lacking. In merely a few exchanges, Zero beat them down too!
After all, for the East Blue where Haki was not yet widely used, the three types of Haki possessed by Zero were enough to be called a cheating existence!
Standing in front of a group of sprawling pirates, Zero suddenly became puzzled: "Speaking of which, where did that hypnotist run off to?"
"Ah ah ah, what kind of business is this in the world, leaving me all by myself here while he goes off to fight! No, I'm going too!"
Nami over here had just decided to support Zero when she suddenly discovered a familiar figure appearing in the distance, which couldn't help making her overjoyed.
"Zero!"
Nami happily called out Zero's name.
The next moment, she noticed that some strange figures seemed to have appeared behind Zero.
What were those?
