Cui Ciyou finished delivering that blatantly teasing remark.
"Aren't your eyes getting dry?"
He clearly saw the expression on Alice's face, twisted by sheer fury, freeze in an instant.
Then, like a puppet whose strings had snapped, she fell into a daze tinged with bewilderment and disbelief.
Looking at the dazed Alice, Cui Ciyou had no intention of giving her much time to react. He turned and walked away without lingering.
But just as Cui Ciyou strode to the door, his hand about to touch the cold brass handle and push it open to leave-
A small hand seized the sleeve of his right arm in a fierce, tight grip.
"You pretty-boy bastard! I'm this angry, and you ask whether my eyes are dry?"
No longer silent, Alice snapped out of her daze and immediately stepped forward to grab Cui Ciyou.
Her long-suppressed anger finally erupted like a volcano, and her voice trembled slightly with agitation.
"And you bastard! I'm angry... shouldn't I be angry?"
She tilted her head up and glared at Cui Ciyou.
"This has nothing to do with Ghislaine or Edna! It's all your fault, you pretty-boy bastard!"
Alice spoke rapidly, as though trying to pour out all her fury:
"Today! Yesterday, and the night before! Did you sneak off again to bring that blue-haired old woman, Roxy, something tasty?! Did you?!"
(Roxy had come to the Boreas Estate to teach Cui Ciyou, so the two girls had inevitably run into each other a few times.)
"And those are just the times I saw! Merry from the kitchen told me-" Merry was the good-natured beastfolk maid in charge of kitchen work. "You've been making desserts for that blue-haired old woman for months!"
Her mouth was like a Pokémon using Bullet Seed, relentlessly firing questions at Cui Ciyou.
