After retrieving his Wood Clone, Uchiha Ensei immediately discovered the news that interested him most.

Perhaps because he had remained in hiding all this time, Uchiha Ensei had grown somewhat out of touch with the situation in the Ninja World. Many developments had caught him by surprise.

The deaths of Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shisui Uchiha, for example, or now Minato Namikaze killing Obito Uchiha.

Although he did not really care much about these things, he occasionally felt a little lonely when his experiments wore him out.

He was not actually the sort of person obsessed with power, but the timing of his arrival in this world had been truly terrible.

If he did nothing, the Uchiha Clan Massacre a few years later would spell his death.

Even if he somehow survived Clan Massacre Night, the Fourth Great Ninja War was only a little over a decade away.

Rather than do nothing and wait for the Infinite Tsukuyomi to descend, he might as well seize this chance and give it everything he had.

And so, starting with cloning the Byakugan, Uchiha Ensei had made his way to this point, one step at a time.

But he still had a long way to go before he could catch up to Kaguya Otsutsuki.

"Perhaps I'll only be able to stop once I have power on par with Kaguya Otsutsuki."

Shaking his head, Uchiha Ensei pushed aside the tangled emotions rising within him. He looked at the Rinnegan, whose ocular power had now been replenished, and casually pressed it into a clone beside him.

Immediately afterward, Uchiha Ensei eagerly sealed away the second Ten-Tails Jinchuriki Clone.

Too many of these things could not be allowed to appear in the Ninja World.
