Eli and Hermione Granger instantly became the new center of attention, as though they were the stars of the show.

The applause rolled on like thunder, while the Champions and their partners shone as brightly as stars.

Once all the Champions had entered and taken their designated positions, the lights in the Great Hall suddenly softened.

Everyone's eyes were fixed on the Champions, especially Eli and Hermione Granger.

Eli suddenly understood how Harry had felt earlier. His heart seemed ready to leap out of his chest. Facing all those stares while dancing made him extremely uncomfortable.

"Don't be nervous. Listen to the music and follow me," Hermione Granger whispered, placing her hand on Eli's shoulder. "Just like we practiced before."

Harry was not doing much better than Eli. He looked rather blank.

"Put your hand on my waist," Patil whispered to Harry.

"Huh?" Harry seemed not to have processed it.

"Tsk." Patil could not be bothered wasting words on this dazed fool. She grabbed Harry's hand and placed it on her waist.

Harry had barely even spoken to girls before, so when had he ever been this close to one? He became even more awkward, his body stiffening as he barely dared move his hand.

A huge speaker stood to one side of the Great Hall. Under Professor Flitwick's direction, the Hogwarts Orchestra finished tuning their instruments.

When Professor Flitwick raised his baton, the instruments' sound was amplified through the speaker and echoed throughout the Great Hall.

Everyone fell utterly silent, enchanted by the music.

The moment the music began, the Champions in the center of the dance floor started to dance.
