The Order of the Phoenix meeting was far from lofty and grand. Instead, arguments kept breaking out mid-discussion. It was not because they were eager to push their own views, but because Voldemort had returned, and time was far too tight.
However, everyone present was among the elite of wizardkind, and after a round of heated debate, they did reach some conclusions.
Their basic strategy was to recruit as many people as possible and, while Voldemort had yet to make an official move, prevent the Ministry of Magic from falling under his control.
From now on, the Order of the Phoenix would do everything it could to bring more wizards into its ranks, including foreign wizards.
There was no particularly clever solution. No one could ignore Voldemort's strength. He was still in his prime, while Dumbledore, the only one currently capable of standing against him, was already frail with age and could only serve as a threat.
When the meeting ended, Snape got up and left without a word. Being in the same room as Lupin and Sirius Black was already enough to make him miserable.
Professor McGonagall had no intention of staying for dinner either, so she left as well.
The rest gathered around the dining table, ready to eat. Poor Molly Weasley still had to cook after hosting the meeting.
"Go call them down. Dinner will be ready soon," Molly Weasley called out. Eli ran upstairs and brought them all down.
Fred and George were still sprawled across Ron Weasley's bed, saying that with Apparition, there was no need to hurry. It disgusted Ron Weasley to no end. Percy Weasley had shown off like that before, and now the twins were doing the same.
