Once Umbridge had completely disappeared into the castle, the group emerged from Hagrid's hut.

"Did the prisoners who died in Azkaban have anything to do with you?" Hermione asked, grabbing Eli. Ron and Harry looked over as well.

Eli wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. How was this girl so smart?

"Well, here's what happened," Eli said, scratching the back of his head. "I received word that the Death Eaters would attack Azkaban to rescue several important accomplices, so the Order of the Phoenix set up an ambush. I went too, but I wasn't hurt. Everyone from the Order is perfectly fine!"

Harry leaned closer and asked with concern, "You fought the Death Eaters?"

"Yes." Eli nodded, then looked at Ron. "Bill and Charlie went too. They're both all right."

Ron pressed his lips together, and a flicker of panic crossed his face.

Seeing that their expressions had darkened, Eli hurriedly said, "Don't look so down. We won a huge victory! The Death Eaters lost plenty of people. You have no idea—don't let Mad-Eye's limp fool you, he's terrifying in a fight. And besides, I threw something big into Azkaban!"

"So Rodolphus Lestrange, Antonin Dolohov, and Travers were all killed by you?" Hermione asked.
