Yue Guan is a rank 95 Titled Douluo whose martial soul is the Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, an immortal-grade plant martial soul comparable to the inherited martial souls of the Upper Three Sects. He states that this martial soul was acquired rather than innate, and that rank 95 is likely the limit of his potential. 31 32

A circulated account of his past claims that he initially awakened an ordinary chrysanthemum martial soul and was bullied for it. According to the rumor, the death of his older sister while defending him triggered a second awakening that transformed it into the Strange Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum. Starry Night Spirit Deer Hunt

Yue Guan locates a herd of Starry Night Spirit Deer and permits Ye and Xu Qingqing to conduct the hunt themselves. After observing their coordinated ambush, he approves of Ye’s decision to conserve soul power and guards Xu during absorption. 33

Xu successfully obtains her second Spirit Ring under his protection, gaining the control-and-stun skill Star Radiance Art. Yue Guan praises the compatibility between her martial soul and chosen spirit beast. 35

Black Jade Earth Dragon Hunt
