After passing through the last patch of shrubs, Gu Ling suddenly slowed his steps. In the clearing ahead, he saw Tang San sitting cross-legged.
An Iron Armor Rhino lay dead before him, the soil around its wound already soaked with blood.
A purple soul ring enveloped his body. What rested in his left hand was not Blue Silver Grass, but a small, pitch-black hammer.
"The Clear Sky Hammer?"
"What the hell? What's going on? White?"
Gu Ling's gaze shifted downward, and he soon spotted the two soul rings circling the hammer, one yellow and one white. His expression immediately turned odd.
He had never expected Tang San to begin cultivating his second martial soul this early, much less equip the Clear Sky Hammer with soul rings like these.
In the distance, Liu Erlong was supporting Yu Xiaogang, whose face was so badly swollen that even sitting upright was difficult. Flender stood guard near Tang San, blood still seeping through the cloth wrapped around his shoulder.
"Don't get too close."
Gu Rong lowered his voice and motioned for Gu Ling to fall back.
After all, the origin of that red light was unknown, and Tang San was currently absorbing a soul ring. Tang Hao might well be nearby, so he had no intention of recklessly approaching with his disciple.

It was Tang Hao. Holding the Clear Sky Hammer, he blocked their way back. His gaze swept over Gu Rong and Dugu Bo before finally settling on Gu Ling.
