Gu Ling defeated Shrek Academy, then gained a hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone and a fifth Soul Ring while Tang San struggled to strengthen his Clear Sky Hammer. The arc ended with Tang Hao battling Gu Rong and Dugu Bo as Tang San’s unstable purple-ring absorption began to fail.

• Gu Ling led Heaven Dou Royal Academy to a decisive victory over Shrek Academy, breaking Tang San’s Eight Spider Lances and eliminating all seven members.
• Tang Hao tried to kill Gu Ling, but Gu Rong and Dugu Bo forced him to retreat after warning him of the consequences for his son and sect.
• Tang San returned to fighting and pursued new rings for his Clear Sky Hammer, while Gu Ling reached level fifty and traveled with Gu Rong and Dugu Bo to Holy Soul Village.
• Gu Ling found Ah Yin’s hidden cave, absorbed her hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, and moved her surviving plant into his Wishful Hundred Treasure Pouch.
• Tang San’s attempts to absorb a Great Strength Vajra Bear’s ring and then a ten-thousand-year Earth Berserk Bear’s ring failed, leaving his Clear Sky Hammer with a yellow first ring and a white second ring.
• Gu Ling killed the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger, absorbed its soul ring to become a level-fifty-three Soul King, and acquired its Left Arm Bone.
• Tang Hao brought Tang San an eight-thousand-year Iron Armor Rhino to absorb, but Gu Ling, Gu Rong, and Dugu Bo arrived as Tang San began absorbing its purple ring.
• Tang Hao attacked Gu Ling and the two Titled Douluos, and the resulting shock waves disrupted Tang San’s absorption as blood fell onto his Clear Sky Hammer and its purple ring flickered.
