Sea God's Nine Trials!

The Sea Dragon Divine Pillar was one of Sea God Island's Seven Sacred Pillars, the place most revered and yearned for by all its residents.

"Human, are you the one coveting my power?"

"Kyogre? How could it be you? Where is my Sea God Dragon?"

Under Sea Dragon Douluo's strange gaze, his grandson was actually talking to... his Martial Soul?

What kind of Martial Soul had a consciousness of its own?

Sea Dragon Douluo felt as though his entire worldview had collapsed. Could it be that he had stayed on Sea God Island for so long that he had become so ignorant he did not even know Martial Souls could possess consciousness?

His gaze swept over the frightened children beside him, who had already completed their Martial Soul awakenings, and he shook his head.

How could that be possible?

At that moment, Haiming gazed delightedly at the phantom fish before him. Though it was somewhat small, its overall appearance was unmistakably that of Sea Emperor Kyogre from the Pokémon game he had played!

The Pokémon that created the sea, one of the oldest gods!

"Sea God Dragon? What is that?"

Hearing the contemptuous question from his grandson's Martial Soul, Sea Dragon Douluo wanted to open his mouth and retort that the Sea God Dragon was not a thing, but no sound came out after he opened it.

"Great Offering!"

Sea Dragon took a deep breath and bowed respectfully to the woman who had suddenly appeared before him.

She was not particularly tall, standing a head shorter than Sea Dragon.

Her entire body was draped in a crimson robe. Her sea-blue hair cascaded behind her, nearly touching the ground! She held a three-meter-long scepter in her hand, golden throughout yet devoid of any worldly air. A diamond-shaped golden gemstone was embedded at its head!

The Great Offering of Sea God Island, Sea God Douluo, Bo Saixi!

"Great Offering!"

Everyone lowered their heads, including Haiming, who had been bickering with his Martial Soul!

Bo Saixi's eyes, like the sea itself, were full of kindness. For the first time in decades, the emotions of this woman, usually as still as an ancient well, revealed surprise.

"Sea Dragon, this is your grandson, correct?"

Though phrased as a question, her tone was certain.

Sea Dragon Douluo nodded. He had never expected his grandson's Martial Soul awakening to draw even the Great Offering's attention!

"Great Offering, may I ask if there is something wrong with my Martial Soul?" Haiming was slightly nervous.

How could others know better than him?

A Pokémon that had created the sea in another world had suddenly become his Martial Soul in this world, and it even seemed to possess consciousness. This might very well have alerted that god who had always watched over the sea!

"No, child. Your Martial Soul is very good." Bo Saixi smiled and shook her head before turning to Sea Dragon.

"Prepare an assessment for this child as well."

"Great Offering! He is only six years old!" Sea Dragon stared at the Great Offering before him in shock, questioning her for the first time.

What was an assessment?

Everyone on Sea God Island who reached the age of eighteen had to undergo an assessment. If they failed it, they would be expelled from Sea God Island.

For members of Sea God Island, each assessment was ten years apart.

But a six-year-old child, even with the ten-year grace period, could never possibly pass the Sea God's assessment!

"Rest assured. I have waited for over a hundred years and finally found one in my twilight years. I simply did not expect it to be your grandson." Bo Saixi waved her hand, and a mass of azure light enveloped all the children who had awakened their Martial Souls. When the light vanished, they vanished with it.

"Haiming, step forward."

Bo Saixi turned around and looked down at Haiming. Suddenly, her voice became cold and clear, as if devoid of all emotion.

Haiming silently walked up before Bo Saixi and watched the blue light appear in her hand!

The azure light merged into the Sea Dragon Divine Pillar behind Sea Dragon Douluo, then shot to its peak. A strand of light split off and descended onto Haiming!

The three young men beside Sea Dragon Douluo were so stunned that they did not know what to say. They were supposed to be undergoing their assessments, so why had Sea Dragon Douluo's grandson begun his first?

The light fell upon Haiming, and the Sacred Pillar behind Sea Dragon Douluo began to shine as well!

Blue! White! Yellow! Purple! Black!

The colors flashed at nearly one per second, and the rapid shifts left even Sea Dragon feeling dazzled.

Could Xiaoming be receiving a Top-level Assessment? A trace of horror flashed through Sea Dragon Douluo's heart. He felt that his heart had endured far too many shocks today.

Under the tense gazes of Sea Dragon Douluo and the three young men, black light traveled along the demonic patterns, passing two-thirds of the Sea Dragon Divine Pillar before transforming directly into a blood-red color!

The shift to red made Sea Dragon Douluo breathe a sigh of relief. His grandson's life had been saved.

"Top-level Assessment!"

One of the young men staggered back two steps, and the way he looked at Haiming became exceedingly respectful.

However, the ascending light did not stop. When the blood-red demonic patterns broke through the two-thirds mark of the Sacred Pillar, they showed no intention of halting. Instead, they shot toward the top of the Sea Dragon Divine Pillar even faster!

Just as when Haiming had been born six years ago, the roar of the sea rang out once more, except this time it came from within the Sea Dragon Divine Pillar!

Under Bo Saixi's calm gaze, a beam of red light pierced the heavens, while the Sea within Sea around the Sea Dragon Divine Pillar surged into hundred-meter waves!

Crack!

Nine square golden screens of light appeared before Haiming in succession, then shot into his body with lightning speed. An immense flood of information rushed into his mind, leaving him dizzy and unable to stand steadily!

Roar!

The ethereal cry made Sea Dragon Douluo, who had been about to step forward, fall directly to his knees. Under Bo Saixi's slightly astonished gaze, a glint of red flashed through the eyes of the phantom whale that had been floating beside Haiming. Haiming then bounced twice in place as if nothing had happened.

The red light that had pierced the sky faded, and the waves of the Sea within Sea receded. Compared to before the assessment, the only change was the golden trident mark that had appeared on Haiming's forehead, filling his already handsome features with noble majesty!

"Nine assessments, Great Offering..." Sea Dragon Douluo climbed to his feet and looked at the Great Offering before him hesitantly, carefully probing for an answer.

"Haiming, from this moment onward, no one on Sea God Island is qualified to receive your courtesies, including myself. Do you understand?" Bo Saixi smiled and placed her hand on Haiming's head. The warm sensation made him feel very comfortable.

"Because what you have received is the Sea God's Nine Trials!"
