Long Haochen grew up in Odin Town with his ailing mother, Bai Yue. Though he passed the Knight Temple's early assessment, he secretly gave his Origin-Nourishing Potions to Bai Yue, leaving his physical foundation weaker than that of ordinary children. Despite this, he entered a forest to help an injured Sheng Cai'er and tried to protect her from an Assassin Temple operative. Haiming and Zhu Zhuqing arrived through a space-time rift, rescued both children, and recognized Long Haochen's compassion and courage. After repeated offers, Long Haochen accepted Haiming as his master, while Cai'er became Zhu Zhuqing's disciple 311 312.

Haiming later exposed the secret surrounding Haochen's lineage: Bai Yue was Feng Xiu's daughter, but Long Haochen was Long Xingyu's biological son. Under Haiming's truth-enforcing divine power, Long Xingyu and Bai Yue reconciled after nine years apart. Haiming removed the creature's inherited destructive power, renamed it Hao Yue, and ensured that its former identity as Austin Griffin would not define its new life 324 326.
