The crack did not spread outward. Instead, it rapidly snaked along the Soul Guidance patterns within the wall. Segments of silver array lines went dark one after another, while the groan of twisting metal echoed from deep inside the wall.
Crack.
A second fissure.
Then a third.
Xu Tianming's fist had not truly struck down yet. It merely pressed against the wall.
Soul power continued pouring in without pause.
The structure within the wall began to collapse.
BOOM!!!
An entire wall exploded.
Large chunks of Soul Guidance Alloy flew outward. Stones slammed into the ground with dull thuds, while the silver array patterns broke into scattered motes of light that drifted wildly through the smoke and dust.
The secret chamber was instantly filled with dust.
The compartment behind the wall was exposed. Several thick metal pillars jutted crookedly from the break, still crackling with Soul Guidance arcs.
Hurried footsteps sounded from outside.
"Your Highness!!"
"What happened in the secret chamber?"
Several guards rushed to the doorway.
The moment they opened the secret chamber door, they saw the floor covered in rubble and dust, along with Xu Tianming standing amid the ruins.
The guards all stopped at once. By the moment they entered, Xu Tianming had already withdrawn his Soul Rings and Martial Soul possession, returning to normal.
They looked at Xu Tianming, then at the wall that had been utterly smashed apart. Their faces were filled with shock, their jaws practically dropping to the floor.
This secret chamber had been constructed from special Soul Guidance Alloy. Its walls were over half a meter thick, with defensive arrays inside.
Even a Soul King could not just tear this thing apart whenever they pleased.
But now? An entire wall was gone.
Xu Tianming stood perfectly intact amid the ruins, without even a speck of dust on him.
"Your Highness, this..."
One guard cautiously spoke up.
Xu Tianming glanced at them and spoke calmly.
"Don't panic."
"I was just testing a soul skill."
The guards looked at one another, utterly dumbfounded.
Testing a soul skill?!
Testing it so hard that the secret chamber wall was gone?!
Yet they did not dare utter a single complaint, much less ask questions.
Xu Tianming was their master. They were servants.
Forget smashing one wall—even if Xu Tianming tore down the entire secret chamber, they had no right to say a word.
"Do you need us to call someone to repair it?"
"Yes, go."
Xu Tianming swept his gaze over the gaping hole in the wall and nodded.
"Yes."
The guards bowed their heads.
Before leaving, they could not resist looking once more at the rubble all over the floor. The shock in their eyes could not be concealed.
The group withdrew from the secret chamber and gently closed the door.
Xu Tianming stood where he was. He raised his hand and looked at his completely unharmed fist, a grin slowly spreading across his face.
"First soul skill, Might of Extremity."
He muttered softly.
"Awesome. So damn awesome."
This was not an ordinary enhancement of strength. It was absolute control over the limits of strength.
As long as he could see a target's weakness, he could concentrate all his power onto one point, instantly pierce through its defenses, and destroy the target's structure.
The stronger the target and the more complex its structure, the harder its weakness was to find. But as long as he could see it, there was nothing he could not destroy.
Xu Tianming looked once more at the ruined wall. In that punch just now, he had actually used only a tiny fraction of his strength.
If he truly erupted with full force, the power of Might of Extremity would not be limited to destroying a single wall.
"Golden Dragon Martial Soul..."
Xu Tianming felt the surging blood qi within his body. His physical strength was countless times greater than before. With his body alone, he felt that beating up a Soul Elder would be effortless now.
More importantly, with a second Martial Soul, he could roam around outside under the identity of the Fools from now on.
One identity could remain in Mingdu as a prince, while the other could travel freely across the continent. This was the freedom he had always wanted.
Early the next morning.
Xu Tianming woke from his dream. The first thing he saw was neither his familiar bed curtains nor the morning light streaming through the gaps in Mo Mang Palace's windows.
It was a spear.
A dazzling golden spear lay horizontally across his bed.
The entire spear was golden. Its shaft was covered in dense dragon patterns, with faint golden light flowing through those markings. A magnificent ruby was embedded where the blade connected to the shaft, and it looked as though a flame burned within the gem.
The entire spear was both domineering and magnificent.
Yet lying there on the bed, it looked absurdly out of place. Who put something like this in a bedroom?
Xu Tianming stared at it for a full three seconds.
Then he abruptly sat upright.
"Karna!!!"
His voice roared straight out of the room.
The next instant, the space in the room rippled like the surface of water.
Karna's figure flashed into existence. He wore black combat attire, his silver-white hair drifting gently as his teal-green eyes swept across the surroundings.
"Master."
"What's with this spear?"
Xu Tianming pointed at the golden spear on the bed.
"Who put it here?"
Karna looked at the spear, his expression unchanged.
"It tore through space and came here on its own."
"It did not attack or display hostility when it appeared. I confirmed that it posed no threat to you, so I did not disturb your sleep."
"You confirmed it posed no threat to me, then let it lie on my bed?"
Xu Tianming pointed at his bed.
"This is my bed!!!"
Karna fell silent for a moment.
"Do you need me to move it, Master?"
"Don't touch it yet."
Xu Tianming got out of bed and stood beside it, examining the spear. It could tear through space, silently appear in the secret chamber of Mo Mang Palace, and evade the imperial palace's defensive Soul Guidance arrays.
No matter how he looked at it, this was not an ordinary weapon.
Could it be a divine weapon?
Xu Tianming's gaze landed on the ruby. For some reason, the more he looked at it, the more familiar it seemed. The dragon patterns on the shaft, the crimson-gold radiance, and the aura hidden within the spear—an aura that seemed to originate from the source of dragon bloodlines.
A flash of insight struck Xu Tianming's mind.
"Holy shit."
His eyes widened sharply.
"Golden Dragon Spear?"
Of course he knew this spear.
It had been formed from the Golden Dragon King's rib, a divine weapon that truly belonged exclusively to the Golden Dragon King. But he remembered that the Golden Dragon Spear had fallen onto Douluo Continent and been obtained by the Imperial Auspicious Beast with the Golden Dragon Bloodline.
So why had it appeared on his bed now???
Xu Tianming looked at Karna.
"Where did it come from?"
"The spatial fluctuations cannot be traced."
Karna answered.
"But before it appeared, no other living creature approached."
"So it came looking for me on its own?"
"That should be the case."
Xu Tianming's expression grew increasingly strange.
Yesterday, he had just used the Golden Dragon King's Divine Core to simulate the Golden Dragon Martial Soul and condensed a Blood-Qi Soul Ring. Today, the Golden Dragon Spear had directly torn through space to seek him out.
That was way too proactive.
