Background / History

The Azure Wood Puppet is a Myriad Realms Roulette reward originating from a fantasy cultivation world. Originally possessing Early Qi Refining-stage strength, it was weakened by localization but remained comparable to a Junior Soul Elder. Ning Chen received it before entering Barak Kingdom’s Soul Hunting Forest for his first soul-ring hunt. 7

Ning Chen concealed its jade-green body beneath a hooded cloak and mask, then used its Soul Elder-level pressure to pass the forest guards. He supplied it with Soul Power through the Nine Yang Divine Skill, which could fully recharge the puppet in approximately fifteen minutes. 7

During the hunt for the Rock Crystal Beast, the puppet approached silently, threw eight Thunderfire Thunderbolt Bombs, and followed the bombardment with close-range attacks. It defeated the severely injured seven-hundred-year soul beast, transported its body to a secluded location, and guarded Ning Chen during his first Soul Ring absorption. 8 9

The puppet later accompanied Ning Chen into the Star Dou Great Forest. It served as an advance scout during the search for a second Soul Ring, helped block the Phoenix-Tailed Cockscomb Snake’s escape, and stood guard while Ning Chen absorbed the snake’s Millennium Soul Ring. 13 14 15

Its attempted ambush forced the Phoenix-Tailed Cockscomb Snake to expend more of the energy stored in its crest to evade a heavy downward blow. Although the puppet did not land the attack, Ning Chen subsequently caught and defeated the exhausted snake using the Wind-Chasing Boots and Fierce Slash Blade. 15

After obtaining his second Soul Ring, Ning Chen recalled the puppet into the Myriad Realms Roulette’s spatial barrier before leaving the forest. The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda’s augmentation skills could not enhance the puppet, and it could no longer keep pace with Ning Chen when he combined his new speed-enhancement skill with the Wind-Chasing Boots. 16

Appearance

A jade-green wooden humanoid with a body made from azure wood spirit materials. Ning Chen commonly disguises it to prevent attention from its unusual construction. 7 8
