Aid Arrives from All Sides, Li Yu Blocks the Demon Race

Within the Netherworld, after watching Li Yu leave, Houtu found herself wavering over certain matters.

Meanwhile, Li Yu hurried all the way back to Five Villages Temple. Upon his return, he gathered Hongyun and Zhen Yuanzi together.

"You seem rather anxious. What happened?" Zhen Yuanzi asked.

Li Yu's expression was grave as he said, "This time, I must trouble you two, fellow Daoists."

Li Yu then explained the matter concerning the Human Race before adding, "At present, I alone cannot look after so many humans. I ask that you two leave the mountain and help me protect the Human Race for a time."

"The Demon Race is truly vile, using such sinister methods against innocent humans. Di Jun and Taiyi are innate beings, and they even heard the Dao within Purple Cloud Palace," Hongyun said with utter disgust.

"Now is not the time to speak of this. Since you have asked, fellow Daoist, we shall make the trip," Zhen Yuanzi said.

Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun left Five Villages Temple. Li Yu had them seek out Red Boy, while he himself still needed to visit Three Immortals Island in the Eastern Sea and ask the Three Xiao Sisters for aid.

Tongtian had already become a Saint. As his disciples, the Three Xiao Sisters must have made great progress in cultivation by now, and they were capable enough to help him. Still, this matter concerned the Demon Race and carried risks, so Li Yu had to come in person.

Li Yu nodded. "These are my friends, the renowned Three Xiao Sisters of Truncated Teaching: Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao. Assign one region to them according to your prior division."

The moment Red Boy heard that they were Li Yu's friends, he immediately greeted them as a junior. "Many thanks, three Immortal Ladies. Then, would the eastern region be entrusted to the three of you?"

"No problem. We three sisters can take on this matter," Yunxiao agreed with a nod.

"Then I shall take responsibility for the remaining region."

As they spoke, a young Daoist descended from the clouds. His face was like jade beneath a crown, and his bearing was elegant and unrestrained. He was none other than Xuandu, the Human Sect's sole disciple. Azure Ox and Immortal Deer had come with him as well.
