Background

The current Lu Yun is a transmigrator from Blue Star who awakens in the body of Tong City’s Lu Yun after being struck by a vehicle. He inherits the original owner’s memories and identity as the only son of Heavenly Origin Martial Arts Hall Master Lu Xingwen. 1

Six months before his awakening, the original Lu Yun accompanied childhood companion Chu Lingxue to the City God Temple. When an assassin targeted her, Lu Yun used the Lu family’s secret art, Transplanting Flowers and Grafting Trees, to exchange their positions and take the attack himself. His dantian and qi sea were destroyed, leaving him unable to cultivate despite Lu Xingwen and Chu Hongxin’s efforts to heal him. 1

After the Infinite Critical Hit System activates, it automatically repairs Lu Yun’s dantian, qi sea, and meridians while raising his martial talent to the threshold needed for its first stage. He immediately begins rebuilding his strength in secret. 2

Personality

Lu Yun is driven by the belief that personal strength is the only reliable protection in a dangerous martial world. His former helplessness against the assassin becomes a lasting motivation to cultivate, fight stronger opponents, and prepare for threats beyond Tong City. 1 3 15

He is deliberately discreet about his growth. Lu Yun conceals his recovered body and cultivation from Lu Xingwen and Du Peng, avoids exposing his true strength before the assessment, and lets others believe an unidentified Sea-Opening Realm expert killed the assassin. 5 6 15

Despite consistently surpassing his seniors, Lu Yun remains courteous toward them. He respectfully credits Du Peng for teaching him, treats assessment staff politely, and accepts Qing Yuanzi as his master without abandoning his own ambition. 10 21 36

Lu Yun completes Qing Yuanzi’s mission by defeating the Thunderclap Venom Xun Python beneath the pagoda, then enters seclusion to continue cultivating.
