His restraint is hard-won. Kaneki remains deeply traumatized by his encounter with the Mother of Truth and acknowledges that he could not have escaped Cursed Blood’s influence through willpower alone. Rather than glorifying his power, he warns Lu against shortcuts and the backlash of externally sourced strength. 42

Kaneki is initially known among Tarnished as the notorious Bloody Finger Ken Kaneki. He sought power through the Blood Dynasty, but Varre exploited his desperation and unusual resonance with Cursed Blood, leading to severe mental corruption. His allies eventually freed him from the Mother of Truth’s influence. 11 26 42

Stormveil Castle Assistance

When Emiya cannot answer Lu Mingfei’s request for aid, he sends Kaneki instead. Kaneki joins Lu at Rampart Tower, demonstrates control over his Curseblood transformation, and leads the infiltration through Stormveil’s hazardous routes. 41
