Background / History

Ye Zhineng is the eldest legitimate son of the wealthy Ye Household’s main branch. Before arriving on Dream Star, he was accustomed to privilege and admiration; Dream Star’s more powerful families instead make him conscious of his comparatively limited status and influence 14.

In Ye Nanxun’s previous life, Ye Zhineng was one of Xu Wenyan’s devoted supporters. After visiting the Ye family and discovering Nanxun, he repeatedly used Nanxun to provoke Xu, eventually kidnapping him to curry favor with Xu Wenyan. After Nanxun’s death, Ye Zhineng planned to seize the Ye family’s assets for himself and Xu 11 14.

In the new timeline, Ye Zhineng accompanies Xu Wenyan among Dream Star’s elite but is humiliated when Xu leaves him for He Yiming.
