Background

While living as Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue studied under Ning Fengzhi. When Ning Fengzhi suddenly felt uneasy, she briefly feared that her disguise had been exposed, but recovered after he attributed the feeling to Ning Rongrong. 6

She is the granddaughter of Qian Daoliu and the Saintess of Martial Soul Hall. Her identity beneath the Xue Qinghe persona remained hidden from Ning Fengzhi and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect until Bai Xiao disclosed it to Dugu Bo. 44

Her childhood and prolonged undercover life leave her deeply isolated. Bai Xiao notes that Bibi Dong does not acknowledge her as a daughter, while Qian Daoliu remains her sole dependable family member and had sent her to maintain the Xue Qinghe identity from an early age. 45 47

Following the Mysterious Bird fusion, Qian Renxue emerges from a golden cocoon as a radiant martial goddess standing upon a massive golden-flamed bird. The divine power used in the experiment leaves her somewhat plumper, more youthful-looking, and baby-faced than before. 49 50

She possesses conventional but earnest views on eternity and decay, defining eternity as that which time cannot wear away and decay as life being eroded by time. She regards the pursuit of eternal life as a fundamental aspiration shared by powerful Soul Masters. 43

She is also proud, competitive, and impulsive. Resentful of Bai Xinghe's superior Soul Ring configuration and earlier humiliation, she enters Sunset Forest without authorization to obtain a Soul Ring ahead of him, injuring Bai Xiao's Soul Beast followers in the process. When confronted, she shows embarrassment and guilt rather than fully defending her choice. 47 48

Her attachment to Qian Daoliu is one of her clearest vulnerabilities. Upon learning that he intends to sacrifice himself for her Angel God Trial, she declares that she would rather abandon godhood than lose her only family. 45

Qian Renxue meets Bai Xiao in the palace as Xue Qinghe, intending to use the meeting to secure Dugu Bo's support. Bai Xiao immediately behaves with excessive familiarity, but their conversation develops into a serious debate over nobles, high-level Soul Masters, social contribution, immortality, and decay. 42 43

Bai Xiao then spends more than a month recounting Perfect World to her. The story draws Martial Soul Hall's upper echelon to the palace and deeply affects Qian Renxue, Qian Daoliu, and Dugu Yan. 44

Revelation of Qian Daoliu's Intended Sacrifice

When Bai Xiao reveals that Qian Daoliu intends to sacrifice himself during her Angel God Trial, Qian Renxue drops her Xue Qinghe disguise and confronts her grandfather. She refuses to accept godhood at the cost of his life, while Qian Daoliu insists that her ascension is the hope of their lineage. 45

Alliance with Bai Xiao's Faction

During negotiations between Bai Xiao's faction and Martial Soul Hall, Qian Renxue asks what form their cooperation will take. The resulting arrangement includes Martial Soul Optimization Serum, literary works, transportation privileges, security, access to Martial Soul Hall records, and soul-tool-related resources. 46

Sunset Forest Incident

Seeking a Soul Ring to surpass Bai Xinghe, Qian Renxue leads two Title Douluo into Sunset Forest. Their hunt cripples several of Bai Xiao's modified Soul Beasts and leaves the Mysterious Bird near death. 47

Bai Xiao slaps and harshly reprimands her, arguing that her privilege allows others to suffer consequences for her mistakes. Qian Renxue's anger gives way to guilt when she sees the two accompanying Title Douluo being punished in her place. 48

Mysterious Bird Fusion

To preserve the Mysterious Bird and compensate for Qian Renxue's actions, Bai Xiao proposes the “Soul Spirit” experiment. Qian Daoliu supplies divine power, while Bai Xiao directs the conversion and synchronization of Qian Renxue with the Mysterious Bird. 48 49

Qian Renxue survives the procedure and emerges transformed, though her immediate response is to complain about the pain and threaten Bai Xiao. Her sincere acceptance of his congratulations begins to ease some of her prejudice toward him. 49 50

Demon Spirit Cultivation

Bai Xiao subsequently establishes the Mysterious Bird's fusion as the first example of Demon Spirit cultivation: a cooperative system in which a Soul Master and Soul Beast share power and advancement without either completely controlling the other. Qian Renxue benefits from the bird's growing Soul Ring, while the Mysterious Bird receives an accelerated path of cultivation within her soul power. 51

Qian Daoliu's Renewed Angel Trial

After a God-Tier disturbance near Martial Soul Hall, Qian Daoliu receives a new Angel God Trial to defeat or eliminate Black Cry and obtains the Angelic Sacred Sword. Qian Renxue apologizes for having doubted her grandfather's devotion, while she and Dugu Yan speculate that Black Cry is connected to Bai Xiao. 325
