"This level of Fireball Jutsu..."
After staring intently for a long time, Uchiha Fugaku remained silent. At last, his gaze fell on Yuu, and he let out a long breath.
Compared to Fugaku's, Yuu's Fireball Jutsu was undoubtedly much smaller. After all, there was a vast gap between a Jonin and him.
But Yuu's Fireball Jutsu was already enormous. He was only seven or eight years old; having the strength of a Genin at that age would already make him a genius.
Yet that Fireball Jutsu had clearly surpassed the level of a Genin. It had reached a frightening level.
"A Fireball Jutsu comparable to a Chunin's, and the flames are extremely hot. Its destructive power is tremendous."
A few dead fish had appeared on the lake's surface. They had been caught up in the Fireball Jutsu's effects.
"Cough, cough!"
It feels like my throat is about to catch fire. Using an oversized Fireball Jutsu so suddenly takes a heavy toll on my body!
Yuu only wanted some water to ease the dryness in his throat. This was his first time following systematic training. As long as every detail was handled properly, the Fireball Jutsu improved noticeably.
"This effect is surprisingly good."
He could feel that the Fireball Jutsu's improvement was not limited to its temperature. It also contained traces of uranium. Those erupting uranium elements had entered the lake water and caused the fish to die.
The Fireball Jutsu, which could not kill anyone in Naruto, had become a Radioactive Great Fireball in his hands. Even if it failed to hit the enemy, the splashed uranium elements could still damage the enemy's cells.
He could now confirm that his Fire Release contained radioactive elements. He would need to be more careful when using it in the future.
He touched the lake water with his hand and absorbed the elements that had dissipated into it. He did not want to turn the lake into a pool of dead water.
"In terms of Fire Release, you can be called a genius. Among the shinobi I know, no one your age can surpass you."
There was a trace of envy in Fugaku's eyes. With such talent and taijutsu, Yuu's future would surely be bright. Hopefully, he could bring the Uchiha Clan its next great revival.
But there was no jealousy in his eyes. He was a genius too, and while Yuu improved, Fugaku was improving as well!
"You can come here every day to train in Fire Release ninjutsu. I'll guide you."
News that a genius had appeared in the Uchiha Clan could not be concealed.
Some were delighted, while others worried.
After learning of Uchiha Yuu's talent, Uchiha He let out a long breath. Fortunately, he had eased the conflict between them somewhat and offered compensation for what Yuu had endured over the years.
"Fortunately, I didn't push Yuu to the opposite side of the Uchiha Clan."
He was the oldest surviving member of the Uchiha Clan. He had once studied under Uchiha Madara, but due to certain irresistible circumstances, the Uchiha Clan had not left with Uchiha Madara back then.
This was the main reason the Uchiha Clan's conflict with the village had erupted, and also the reason for the clan's decline.
Seeing such a talented individual emerge, Uchiha He was sincerely delighted.
"Have Fugaku teach him well and make him acknowledge the Uchiha Clan."
"Yes, Clan Head."
Meanwhile, Qian Xishou had been closely tracking Uchiha Yuu's situation. Especially recently, as his body recovered, his strength had undergone an explosive surge.
"Just as I thought, my observations were correct."
"Uchiha Yuu's threat level must be raised another tier. We have to make him join the ANBU and become the sharpest blade in Lord Danzo's hand!"
The commotion surrounding Uchiha Yuu remained confined to the village's upper ranks and did not affect Yuu.
He was indeed a genius, but he was still far too young. The Ninja Academy was the system established by the Second Hokage to train shinobi. Before he graduated, everyone would abide by that rule.
If such a genius were lost, it would be a tremendous loss to both the village and the clan.
"Click, click, click!"
The door opened, and the Third Hokage sat in the center, smoking.
"Lord Third, these are this year's student records."
Chishu was excited inside. This report on the students was also an opportunity to prove his abilities to the Third Hokage.
He, Chishu, was a qualified teacher!
"Chishu, retirement seems to have put some weight on you."
Noticing the documents placed before him, Sarutobi spoke as though chatting about everyday matters. He opened the files and asked questions one after another.
Most of his questions, however, concerned Kushina. As the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki, every move she made affected the subsequent plans and would determine her future.
Fortunately, according to Chishu's report, Kushina's emotions had remained stable, with no signs of the Nine-Tails erupting.
There was also Kushina's little boyfriend, who was considered a genius. Both of them were talented shinobi in the village and required focused cultivation.
"Hm? This child!"
When the Third Hokage reached the final page and saw the name written there, he sighed.
"The Uchiha Clan truly is full of talented people."
"Yuu? I've heard of this child before. He wasn't treated well in the Uchiha Clan."
"I remember that in the information you gave me last year, his condition was terrible. To put it bluntly, he might very well have died during last winter."
He knew a little about Yuu, though what he felt was more pity. Though Yuu was an Uchiha, he had never received care from the Uchiha Clan.
Yet he had struggled against illness like a resilient blade of grass.
Now that he had recovered, was it because of Tsunade?
He had asked Tsunade to treat him, never expecting the recovered Uchiha Yuu to reveal such talent.
He could be used as a bridge and nurtured into the next Kagami Uchiha.
Thinking of this gave the Third Hokage a headache. The Uchiha Clan's position in the village was extremely awkward.
As a powerful clan renowned throughout the Shinobi World, it had produced many talented and powerful shinobi.
Unfortunately, their temperament was simply too troublesome. They were prone to acting impulsively.
The Uchiha Clan was more like Konoha's double-edged sword. It could wound enemies, but it could also wound itself. If handled poorly, it could plunge the village into immense difficulty.
"It's enough that this child survived."
The Third Hokage took a drag from his pipe. As though he had made a decision, he looked up at Chishu standing to the side and assigned him a task.
"Yuu's childhood was unfortunate, but from now on, the village will give him a sense of belonging. I'll leave this task to you."
"Chishu, you must complete it."
"Yes! Lord Hokage."
But Chishu, with his head lowered, could only laugh bitterly inside.
He still remembered Yuu's answer during the first class. The Will of Fire could not save him.
That question had left him speechless.
Since it was the Third Hokage's mission, Chishu would complete it with everything he had!
The Third Hokage also needed to find them a team leader. Every team leader was among the most important people in a shinobi's life.
Since he intended to nurture Yuu into a member of the Hokage faction and preserve the Uchiha Clan's current situation, only one of his own people could become Yuu's teacher.
