Arc 1The Uchiha Exodus

Enkō gathered the Chinoike and Taketori Clans while preparing the Uchiha for the decisive battle against the Senju. After Madara conceded defeat and chose to leave the Land of Fire, Enkō helped lead the clans toward a new country where they planned to build their power.

  • Enkō destroyed the Senju granary at Heno River, escaped Tobirama, and returned to Madara and Izuna with plans for the Uchiha’s future.
  • Enkō recruited the Chinoike Clan from Hell Valley and defeated the Taketori Clan’s Chikuma, then brought both clans toward Uchiha territory.
  • Enkō returned with the Taketori Clan as Madara announced the coming battle against the Senju at East River Plains.
  • Enkō used disguised Human Bombs to attack a Senju patrol, then fought Sarutobi Sasuke and killed him after critically wounding him with Heaven’s Pobei.
  • Enkō helped Oya Enichi and the Chinoike Clan escape the Senju camp, while Mito recognized that the Uchiha would not join the Senju alliance.
  • Tobirama severely wounded Izuna, and Madara stopped fighting Hashirama and declared that the Uchiha had lost.
  • Madara led the Uchiha out of the Land of Fire with Izuna, Enkō, and the Chinoike Clan after Hashirama ordered Tobirama to let them go.
  • Enkō told the clan leaders they would seize a small country and build a new power, and the clans planned to depart in three days.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Third Son of the Uchiha

Uchiha Enkō argued that the Uchiha should strike the Senju Clan's food stores before their decisive battle and won permission to lead the risky mission. He departed at night with eight elite Uchiha shinobi to attack the Heno River granary.

  • Enkō met Izuna on a hillside and complained that Madara and Izuna kept assigning him easy missions.
  • At the Uchiha meeting, Madara announced that the Senju Clan had agreed to a decisive battle at Ishikari Plain on the first of next month.
  • Enkō proposed destroying the Senju Clan's food stores at Heno River, guarded by the Uzumaki Clan, to give the Uchiha an advantage.
  • Enkō volunteered to lead the infiltration, and Izuna objected until Madara agreed on the condition that Enkō prioritize his own survival.
  • Izuna promised to draw the Senju Clan's attention, and Enkō led eight elite Uchiha shinobi out into the night.

Ch. 2Mangekyo Sharingan Ability

Uchiha Enkō attacked the Uzumaki Clan’s Heno River granary and fought its defender, Uzumaki Ise. Enkō used his Mangekyo Sharingan ability to plunder one of Ise’s techniques, then revealed that he could use the Adamantine Sealing Chains.

  • Uzumaki Ise kept watch over the Heno River granary as an unknown figure approached from the darkness.
  • Uchiha Enkō shattered the granary’s barrier with the Great Dragon Flame Technique and identified himself to Ise.
  • Enkō attacked Ise with the Majestic Destroyer Flame, but Ise erased the flames with Flame Sealing.
  • Enkō activated Kagami no Mitama to discern Ise’s abilities and plunder one of his techniques for five minutes.
  • Enkō pressed his hand to the ground and used the Adamantine Sealing Chains.

Ch. 3Breakout

Enkō used his Sharingan ability to steal Ise Uzumaki’s Adamantine Sealing Chains and lead the attack that destroyed the Senju Clan’s Heno River base. As the Uchiha escaped through the forest, a powerful silver-haired figure appeared ahead to block them.

  • Enkō used Adamantine Sealing Chains to break through the wall, while the Uchiha ninjas rushed in to destroy the granary.
  • Enkō fought Ise, broke his arm, and forced him back before his stolen chains dissipated and his left eye entered a five-minute cooldown.
  • A blaze rose at Heno River, and Enkō ordered the Uchiha to retreat as Ise bandaged his arm and pursued them.
  • Enkō triggered Explosive Tags hidden in the forest to halt Ise’s pursuit, then sent Mu and several men back with instructions.
  • A powerful chakra appeared ahead, and Enkō’s group found a silver-haired, crimson-eyed person waiting on the road.

Ch. 4Tobirama Senju

Enkō used Uzumaki Ise as a hostage to force Tobirama Senju to let the Uchiha escape, then tricked Tobirama and fled. Tobirama pursued him, and Enkō stopped to face him with Kagami no Mitama.

  • Tobirama confronted Enkō and threatened to kill him, but Enkō revealed that the Uchiha had captured Uzumaki Ise.
  • Enkō struck Ise and made Tobirama choose between letting the Uchiha leave or risking his brother-in-law's life.
  • Tobirama opened a path and let Mu lead the Uchiha away, while Enkō kept Ise as a hostage.
  • Enkō tossed Ise toward Tobirama with an Explosive Tag on his back, then used the distraction to escape.
  • Tobirama rescued Ise and chased Enkō alone, while his subordinates turned toward the Heno River.
  • Enkō realized Tobirama was catching up, stopped running, and activated Kagami no Mitama with his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Ch. 5The Uchiha Clan's Future

Enkō used his Mangekyō Sharingan’s eye technique to steal Tobirama’s ninjutsu and gain the advantage in their fight, but Tobirama escaped. Izuna met Enkō afterward, and the brothers headed back to discuss the Uchiha Clan’s future.

  • Enkō used his eye technique to steal Tobirama’s ninjutsu and attacked him with a series of Water Release techniques.
  • Tobirama detonated Explosive Tags to escape Enkō’s water attacks, but Enkō wounded him with Water Severing Wave.
  • Enkō used Fire Release while Tobirama still could not perform his stolen ninjutsu, forcing him to retreat.
  • Enkō found Izuna waiting for him near the Uchiha Clan’s camp, and Izuna checked that he was not seriously injured.
  • Izuna told Enkō that he and their brother agreed Enkō should step into the clan’s affairs, and Enkō said he wanted to discuss the clan’s future with them.

Ch. 6Village-Building Plan

Hashirama and Tobirama discussed the coming decisive battle against the Uchiha Clan and Hashirama’s dream of founding a village with Madara. Enkō urged Madara to consider the Uchiha establishing their own village, leaving the brothers to weigh that proposal.

  • Tobirama told Hashirama that the destruction of the Heno River had cut off Senju supply lines and that a decisive battle was likely in a month.
  • Hashirama insisted he wanted to end the war without destroying the Uchiha Clan and hoped Madara would help lead a village for all clans.
  • Tobirama warned Hashirama about Enkō’s Mangekyō Sharingan ability to seize ninjutsu, then left to notify the other clans.
  • Enkō told Madara and Izuna that the war would likely end in peace and asked what the Uchiha would do afterward.
  • Madara explained that joining Hashirama’s village could leave the Uchiha marginalized, and Enkō proposed that the clan build its own village.

Ch. 7Vassal Clans

Enkō persuaded Madara and Izuna to seek vassal clans, proposing they recruit the Taketori and Chinoike Clans. Madara approved and sent Enkō to negotiate, both to pursue the plan and to remove him from the danger posed by the Senju Clan.

  • Enkō suggested that the Uchiha prepare for defeat by building a village elsewhere, but Madara insisted they keep fighting until the war was decided.
  • Enkō argued that the Uchiha needed vassal clans and proposed recruiting the Taketori Clan of the Water Country and the Chinoike Clan of the Lightning Country.
  • Enkō explained that the Uchiha could free and intimidate the Chinoike Clan, then offer benefits to gain its allegiance.
  • Madara approved Enkō's proposal and ordered him to lead a team to negotiate with the clans.
  • After Enkō left, Madara told Izuna that the mission would also keep Enkō away from the Senju Clan, which might prepare to counter his ocular techniques.

Ch. 8Hell Valley

Enkō traveled to Hell Valley to rescue the imprisoned Chinoike Clan, despite the political risks of opposing Lightning Country and the Yotsuki Clan. After entering the barrier with Uchiha Mu, he was attacked by Chinoike Clan members who vowed to kill the Uchiha.

  • Enkō and three Uchiha guards crossed the desert to reach Hell Valley, avoiding Senju territory.
  • The Uchiha squad captain explained that the barrier required the cooperation of the Uchiha Clan, Lightning Country's daimyo guards, and the Yotsuki Clan to open.
  • Enkō decided to enter the barrier with Uchiha Mu and confirm whether the Chinoike Clan wanted to leave.
  • Enkō and Mu entered Hell Valley and approached the Blood Pool.
  • A Chinoike Clan member attacked Enkō with an arrow of blood, and a group of Chinoike approached, vowing to kill the Uchiha Clan.

Ch. 9Blood Pool Clan

Uchiha Enkō offered to free the imprisoned Chinoike Clan in exchange for their obedience, and Miyakenichi challenged him before hearing his case. Enkō argued that the Uchiha Clan could shelter them and help them take revenge on the Lightning Country, leaving Miyakenichi to weigh the offer with his clan.

  • Enkō told Miyakenichi he would free the Chinoike Clan if they obeyed the Uchiha Clan, and Miyakenichi attacked him with a blood dragon.
  • Enkō evaded Miyakenichi’s attack, defeated him with a knee strike, and warned that the Chinoike Clan had few places to turn after escaping Hell Valley.
  • Miyakenichi tried to trap Enkō with Ketsuryūgan genjutsu, but Enkō reflected it and explained why Senju Hashirama might not protect the Chinoike Clan from the Lightning Country.
  • Enkō said the Uchiha Clan would give the Chinoike Clan a chance for revenge and could kill Miyakenichi, prompting him to consider the offer while looking at his clansmen.
  • Miyakenichi said Hell Valley was not controlled by the Uchiha Clan alone, and Enkō left with Mu while the Chinoike Clan discussed whether to join the Uchiha.

Ch. 10Yotsuki Clan

Enkō and Mu attacked the Yotsuki Clan squad guarding the southern entrance to Hell Valley, hoping to seize control of the barrier. Olui survived their ambush and struck Enkō, then vowed that none of them would leave alive.

  • Enkō learned that Olui led the Yotsuki Clan squad and ordered Kaze to take on the Daimyo Palace guards while he handled Olui.
  • Olui told his brothers to endure their post until the Lightning Country’s ninjas were unified, while the second brother complained about the Daimyo Palace.
  • Enkō used Sharingan genjutsu to control the second brother, and Mu knocked out the third brother as they scouted outside.
  • The controlled second brother attacked Olui, who disarmed him before Enkō and Mu used Fire Release and Wind Release to blast the cave.
  • Olui burst from the rubble with lightning around him and crushed Enkō’s raised arm with a punch, then threatened to kill the attackers.

Ch. 11Fierce Battle

Enkō and Mu fought Olui, who had killed Enkō’s companions and resisted with the Yotsuki Clan’s Lightning Armor. After Olui escaped their grasp and fled, Enkō prepared to use his Mangekyō Sharingan technique to stop him.

  • Olui blamed the Uchiha Clan for killing his brothers and attacked Enkō with a lightning-charged punch.
  • Enkō dodged Olui’s attacks and struck his shoulder, but Olui shattered Enkō’s kunai and injured his arm.
  • Mu joined the fight and restrained Olui, allowing Enkō to land a punch that collapsed Olui’s Lightning Armor.
  • Olui unleashed Lightning Release: Lightning Burst, forcing Enkō to retreat with the injured Mu, then fled.
  • Enkō aimed his Mangekyō Sharingan at Olui and activated Dojutsu: Heaven’s Pobei.

Ch. 12Joining

Enkō and Uchiha Kaze freed the Chinoike Clan from the barrier at Hell Valley and arranged for Kaze to escort them to the Land of Fire. Enkō left to handle other matters, including subduing the Taketori Clan, while warning Miyakenichi that the Uchiha had little chance against the Senju Clan.

  • Kaze returned with a Lightning Country guard who knew part of the barrier's hand seals, while Enkō and Mu received emergency treatment.
  • Enkō told Kaze to take the Chinoike Clan back to the Land of Fire and said he would go alone to subdue the Taketori Clan.
  • Enkō used genjutsu to take control of the barrier, and Kaze and two Uchiha members opened it.
  • Miyakenichi led the Chinoike Clan out of Hell Valley and agreed to join the Uchiha, despite Enkō admitting they had no chance against the Senju Clan.
  • Enkō said he wanted to break the barrier above them one day, and Miyakenichi accepted the gamble.

Ch. 13Water Country

Enkō reached Water Country and arranged for a ship to carry his clansmen, while privately worrying about the Mangekyō Sharingan’s worsening effects. After mastering the Rasengan and setting out to find the Taketori Clan, he was surrounded by several men at the docks.

  • Enkō traveled to Water Country aboard a cargo ship and worried that using Mangekyō techniques was damaging his and his brothers’ eyesight.
  • Hualian offered to arrange a cargo ship for around two hundred people and gave Enkō a ring as a boarding token.
  • Enkō used a genjutsu to send Hualian away, then formed a Rasengan and reflected on the future he hoped to create.
  • Enkō arrived in Water Country and decided to seek information about the Taketori Clan from a nearby clan.
  • Several men blocked Enkō’s path and sealed off his escape routes, prompting him to ask whether they intended to rob him or rob him of his virtue.

Ch. 14Robbery

Enkō defeated a band of Funato Clan pirates who tried to rob a cargo ship and demanded that their captain, Funato Haiichi, lead him to the Taketori Clan. Haiichi revealed that the clan had no territory but claimed he knew where to find them, and Enkō ordered him to lead the way.

  • Funato Haiichi tried to make Enkō guide the pirates aboard the cargo ship, but Enkō instead demanded directions to the Taketori Clan.
  • When Haiichi ordered his men to kill Enkō, Enkō swiftly killed two attackers and sent the rest fleeing.
  • Enkō chased down the fleeing pirates, broke through one ninja's Earth-Style Wall with Uchiha Blazing Flame Slash, and killed the others.
  • Enkō caught Funato Haiichi and held a blade to his throat, demanding that he lead him to the Taketori Clan.
  • Haiichi said the Taketori Clan had no territory but claimed he knew where to find them, so Enkō told him to lead the way.

Ch. 15Taketori Clan

Enkō and Funato Haiichi found the Taketori Clan fighting the Hoshigaki Clan, but Enkō chose to watch rather than intervene. After the Taketori Clan withdrew, Chikuma led his followers toward another target before charging at a mysterious figure with scarlet eyes.

  • Enkō followed Funato Haiichi through the mountains until they spotted a battle between the Hoshigaki Clan and the Taketori Clan.
  • Enkō and Funato Haiichi watched as Hoshigaki Heisha and Chikuma fought fiercely in the camp.
  • When Hozuki Clan reinforcements arrived, Chikuma ordered the Taketori Clan to retreat, and Heisha agreed to join the alliance against them.
  • Chikuma decided to attack clans joining the Ice Clan's unification effort and led his followers onward.
  • A figure overtook the Taketori Clan and blocked their path, so Chikuma charged at the figure and saw scarlet eyes.

Ch. 16True Power

Uchiha Enkō defeated Taketori Clan chief Chikuma in combat and demanded that the clan follow him. As the Taketori clansmen surrounded him, Enkō unleashed immense chakra and prepared to reveal the Uchiha Clan’s true power.

  • Uchiha Enkō challenged Chikuma to fight without genjutsu, wagering that the Taketori Clan would serve him if he won.
  • Chikuma used his Shikotsumyaku to block Enkō’s sword and injure his leg, but Enkō knocked him back with a kick.
  • Enkō outmaneuvered Chikuma with feints and struck him with a Rasengan, leaving him badly wounded in a crater.
  • Chikuma revealed that the Taketori Clan never fought alone as his clansmen formed an encirclement around Enkō.
  • Enkō sighed, declared that he would show the Uchiha Clan’s true power, and released immense chakra that changed the world’s color.

Ch. 17Susanoo

Enkō used Susanoo to defeat Chikuma and persuade the Taketori Clan to follow him into battle beyond the Water Country. As Enkō departed with them, the Funato Clan intercepted their ship, and he boarded their warship to meet its leader.

  • Enkō summoned Susanoo and overwhelmed Chikuma and the Taketori Clan, who then pledged to follow him.
  • Enkō told the Taketori Clan to gather at the southern dock the next evening and promised to lead them to a battlefield beyond the Water Country.
  • Enkō revealed his identity to Funato Haiichi and sent him with a secret letter inviting the Funato leader to meet him at the dock.
  • The next evening, Enkō boarded Sister Hualian’s cargo ship with Chikuma and the Taketori Clan, but no Funato representatives appeared at first.
  • As the ship headed toward the mainland, a Funato warship blocked its route, and Enkō boarded it after its leader invited him to talk.

Ch. 18Changing History

Uchiha Enkō secured a tentative promise of future cooperation from Funato Tenzui, then returned to Uchiha territory with the Taketori Clan. With the decisive battle against the Senju Clan set for three days later, Enkō prepared the Taketori Clan to fight and vowed to change history.

  • Uchiha Enkō and Funato Tenzui agreed to consider cooperating when a future opportunity arose, though Tenzui privately regarded the promise as empty.
  • Enkō returned to Uchiha territory, where Madara and Izuna welcomed him and Madara warned him to rest his strained eyes before the coming battle.
  • The Taketori Clan members saw Madara's power and fell to their knees in admiration, prompting Enkō to explain their intense pursuit of strength.
  • Madara told Enkō that the Senju Clan had declared a final battle at East River Plains three days later.
  • Enkō asked Chikuma and the Taketori Clan to prepare to fight, then declared that they would change history.

Ch. 19War Begins

The Senju and Uchiha clans prepared for a decisive battle, while Hashirama argued for reconciliation and Enkō discussed the Chinoike Clan leader’s plan to use genjutsu to gain control of the daimyo. The chapter ended as both sides rallied their forces and declared the war begun.

  • Mito told Tobirama she wanted to fight, but Hashirama had refused to let her join the battle.
  • Tobirama and Toka urged Hashirama to eliminate the Uchiha leaders or drive their clan away, but Hashirama insisted on reconciliation and a village shared by ninja clans.
  • Miyakenichi told Enkō he would use genjutsu to control the daimyo and gradually take power if he had another chance to lead the Chinoike Clan.
  • Enkō went to the Uchiha oath-taking assembly, where Izuna and Madara rallied the fighters.
  • Hashirama and Madara each proclaimed the approaching battle as the war began.

Ch. 20Decisive Battle

Hashirama and Madara began their decisive battle as the Senju and Uchiha armies clashed across the East River Plains. On a distant hillside, Enkō prepared to enter the fighting with Oya Enichi and a force of human bombs.

  • Hashirama urged Madara to make the battle their final one, but Madara insisted that only the victor could decide the outcome.
  • Hashirama and Madara charged and exchanged weapon strikes before unleashing Wood Release and Susanoo against each other.
  • Tobirama and Izuna led the Senju and Uchiha forces into battle, clashing with water and fire techniques as the armies collided.
  • Enkō asked Oya Enichi about their preparations, then decided they were ready to enter the battle with the human bombs.

Ch. 21Raiding the Home Base

Uchiha Enkō led a Chinoike Clan raid on the Senju Clan camp, where his Human Bombs and surprise attack overwhelmed the rear patrol. Sarutobi Sasuke intervened while Uzumaki Mito withdrew with the unconscious Junyan, leaving Enkō and Sasuke about to fight.

  • Senju Junyan led a patrol around the camp and reassured his subordinates that the Senju Clan would win the war.
  • Enkō's disguised Human Bombs exploded among Junyan's patrol, and Enkō killed a subordinate before defeating Junyan with his Sharingan and a kick.
  • The Chinoike Clan finished off the remaining patrol members, and Enkō sent Yan One deeper into Senju territory to raid the camp.
  • Sarutobi Sasuke and Uzumaki Mito arrived; Sasuke identified Enkō as the Uchiha Clan's third leader and said he would fight him alone.
  • Sasuke trapped Enkō behind an Earth Release wall long enough for Mito to leave with Junyan, then Enkō broke free and faced Sasuke.

Ch. 22Heaven's Pobei

Enkō fought Sarutobi Sasuke, who used his mastery of all nature transformations and summoned Enma to battle him. Enkō ended the fight by using Heaven's Pobei to worsen Sasuke's injuries, but the ocular technique left Enkō on his knees as his Susanoo dissolved.

  • Enkō rushed Sarutobi Sasuke, who countered with Wind Release and Lightning Release before Enkō attacked with Fire Release.
  • Sarutobi Sasuke summoned Enma, who transformed into a Ruyi Staff and helped him knock Enkō down.
  • Enkō protected himself with Susanoo and punched Sarutobi Sasuke away, while both fighters suffered from their injuries and abilities.
  • Enkō used Heaven's Pobei to magnify Sarutobi Sasuke's injuries, critically wounding him and causing Enkō's Susanoo to dissolve.

Ch. 23Trade

Enkō killed Sarutobi Sasuke, who gave him a jade pendant to help recruit the Uzuki Clan and asked him to spare his son, Sarutobi Hiruzen, once. Enkō then rescued Oya Enichi and the Chinoike Clan from Uzumaki Mito, leaving the Senju camp as the Uchiha Clan refused to join the Senju-led alliance.

  • Sarutobi Sasuke told Enkō that the Uchiha Clan could lose the battle without being defeated for good, and Enkō said even the God of Shinobi would eventually die.
  • Sarutobi Sasuke asked Enkō to spare his son, Sarutobi Hiruzen, once, and gave him a jade pendant as a token for finding the Uzuki Clan.
  • Enkō killed Sarutobi Sasuke, searched his body for the pendant, and headed toward the Senju Clan grounds.
  • Uzumaki Mito trapped Oya Enichi and the Chinoike Clan in the Senju camp after they obtained what they had come for.
  • Enkō broke through the camp walls and helped Oya Enichi lead the Chinoike Clan out of the Senju camp.
  • Enkō told Mito that the Uchiha Clan would not join the Senju alliance, and Mito concluded that the war was not over.

Ch. 24War's End

Tobirama wounded Izuna with the Flying Thunder God, but the battle between Madara and Hashirama decided the war in the Senju’s favor. Madara accepted defeat and declared that the Uchiha Clan would leave the Land of Fire.

  • Tobirama used the Flying Thunder God Slash against Izuna, who had anticipated the technique but suffered a severe wound.
  • Madara and Hashirama’s clash shook the battlefield as Madara neared collapse from his Mangekyō Sharingan’s backlash.
  • Madara saw Izuna injured, stopped fighting, and acknowledged that the Uchiha had lost.
  • Hashirama celebrated the war’s end and proposed building a ninja village with Madara.
  • Madara declared that the Uchiha Clan would leave the Land of Fire.

Ch. 25A New Beginning Elsewhere

Madara led the Uchiha and Chinoike Clans away from the Land of Fire after Hashirama stopped Tobirama from attacking them. At a meeting the next day, Enkō proposed seizing a small country as the foundation for a new power, and the clans prepared to depart in three days.

  • Madara announced that the Uchiha Clan would leave the Land of Fire, and every Uchiha clansman chose to follow him.
  • Tobirama urged Hashirama to wipe out the Uchiha, but Enkō warned that the Senju Clan would face attacks from the Land of Wind and Lightning Country if it fought.
  • Hashirama ordered Tobirama to let Madara's people go, and Madara departed with Izuna, Enkō, and the Uchiha and Chinoike Clans.
  • At a meeting the next day, Enkō told the clan leaders that they would seize a small country, build a new power, and eventually return to the Land of Fire.
  • Enkō pointed out the country he had already sent a team to destabilize, and the clans planned to leave in three days.
