Founding the Demon Clan

After Hongjun merges with Heaven's Way, Di Jun declares the Demon Clan from the Sun Star. Heaven's Way recognizes his proclamation, sending Merit and enormous Fortune that enables Di Jun to sever his Evil Corpse and reach the Late Quasi-Saint Realm. 55

The Demon Clan's expansion soon clashes with the Witch Cult, whose disciples protect smaller clans from forced submission. Di Jun orders a withdrawal rather than provoke a direct battle with the Twelve Ancestral Witches and their Pangu Phantom. 57 58

Loss of the Heavenly Court

Seeking an object capable of anchoring the Demon Clan's Fortune, Di Jun spends one hundred thousand years using the River Map and Luo Writing to locate the Heavenly Court. 60

When he arrives at the Thirty-Three Heavens, Dijiang and the Twelve Ancestral Witches have already claimed it. Di Jun initially threatens war but withdraws when Dijiang invokes the Pangu True Body, refusing to gamble the Demon Clan's survival on a battle it cannot win. 60 The Witch Cult's subsequent recognition by Heaven's Way weakens the Demon Clan's Fortune and leaves Di Jun searching for a countermeasure. 61 63

Formation Against the Witch Cult

Alarmed by the Witch Cult's creation of 120 Peak Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal Great Witches, Di Jun enters seclusion and deduces the Heavenly Cycle Star-Fighting Formation. 67 Fuxi joins the Demon Clan and offers his expertise to help complete it. 67

The formation's decisive flaw is Purple Star: it will not recognize Di Jun while Dijiang holds the title of Heavenly Emperor. 78 This prevents Di Jun from displaying the formation's intended full power against the Pangu True Body. 80

Failed Alliances and the Purple Star Plan

Di Jun attempts to enlist Yuanshi Tianzun against the Witch Cult after the Sage Era begins, but Yuanshi expels and insults both Di Jun and Taiyi. 79 Di Jun then allies with Jieyin and Zhunti, offering them half of the eastern lands' Fortune in exchange for help reclaiming the Heavenly Court. 80
