Tailed Beasts were extraordinary life-forms whose bodies were formed from vast amounts of chakra. Under normal circumstances, they could not be killed, only restrained and sealed away.

To harness their immense power, human shinobi had devised a way to seal Tailed Beasts inside other shinobi, creating weapons of war known as Jinchūriki.

The beast inside Rōshi was the Four-Tails, a monkey who liked living near volcanoes. He had four tails, could control lava, and ranked among the five strongest Tailed Beasts.

Drawing on the Four-Tails' power, Rōshi wrapped himself in a cloak of lava. His body seemed to burn, glowing a brilliant red.

Boom! Red light exploded outward, and a terrifying shockwave swept in every direction. The two combatants appeared unaffected. Each gathered strength for the next attack.

"That Uchiha really is strong."

"Four-Tails, lend me more of your power. Otherwise, neither of us will make it out of here today."

Rōshi felt the lingering heat on his fist, shaken to his core. Even with his lava cloak and Partial Tailed Beast Transformation, a head-on clash with that Fire Release Ninjutsu had burned him.

Only Rōshi could have withstood the attack. Any other Iwagakure shinobi would likely have been burned to ash by Uchiha Setsuna's flames in an instant.

The Four-Tails, Sun Wukong, said gravely, "Our opponent is an Uchiha. Watch out for his genjutsu. I'll break you out of it the moment it takes hold, but you must also guard against Susanoo in a direct fight. It's the Uchiha Clan's ultimate ocular technique!"

Rōshi nodded. "I understand. If I can't hold on, take over my body and escape. We absolutely can't let the Uchiha capture us!"
