Wuhun Hall identifies talent through local awakening ceremonies. At Holy Soul Village, Master Su tests children’s martial souls and soul power before immediately recruiting Jiang Chen after his Azure Lotus manifests alongside Innate Full Soul Power. 1

Its hierarchy recognizes official credentials and tokens: Master Su’s deacon token is required to validate his affiliation at the Wuhun City gates, while Bibi Dong later grants Jiang Chen the Pope’s token. 2 19

Political Agenda

Wuhun Hall is preparing to unify the Douluo Continent. Bibi Dong had already begun planning continental unification before Jiang Chen disclosed a vision in which a future Wuhun Empire nearly conquers the continent but is ultimately destroyed after the “Three Gods’ War.” 4

Jiang Chen argues that Wuhun Hall’s campaign is justified because it gives commoners opportunities to awaken martial souls and change their circumstances, unlike aristocratic empires and clans that he regards as oppressive. He presents the Hall’s future victory as inevitable while demanding that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect remain neutral. 20

The Hall’s planned military power expands dramatically through Jiang Chen’s summoned subordinates. History

Jiang Chen’s recruitment

Master Su discovers Jiang Chen at a village awakening ceremony, where Jiang Chen manifests the Azure Lotus and tests at Innate Full Soul Power. Following Jiang Chen’s acceptance of recruitment, Master Su abandons his remaining village rounds and takes him directly to Wuhun City. 1

After an incident at the main-hall gates, Deacon Ye Hua escorts Jiang Chen before Bibi Dong. She confirms his talent, rewards Master Su’s branch hall, accepts Jiang Chen as her disciple, and later appoints him Holy Son. 2 3

Rise of the Holy Son

Under Bibi Dong’s protection, Jiang Chen receives elite training and resources while keeping much of his system-granted power hidden. His first soul-ring expedition demonstrates the Hall’s investment in his growth, though his thousand-year first ring and offensive Azure Lotus skill exceed Bibi Dong’s expectations. 6 7

A decade later, Bibi Dong appoints Jiang Chen leader of Wuhun Hall’s Advanced Soul Master Tournament team, instructing him to serve as its concealed trump card. His ensuing conflict with the Golden Generation incapacitates Yan and leaves Hu Liena and Xie Yue aware of the gulf between their strength and his. 7 8 9

The Sword God’s return

Jiang Chen later returns to Wuhun Hall after three months in the God Realm, revealing that he has independently created the Sword God Godhood. His display of the Ruyi Jingu Bang confirms that his power has surpassed Bibi Dong’s expectations, while she entrusts him with the Pope’s token. 19

His status allows him to negotiate with major sects on Wuhun Hall’s behalf. He secures the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s neutrality during the coming conflict, grants Chen Xin the Sword God’s Nine Trials, and strengthens the sect’s alignment with Wuhun Hall through gifts to Ning Rongrong. 20 21 22

Advanced Soul Master Tournament crisis

Wuhun Hall hosts the Advanced Soul Master Tournament in Wuhun City, with Jiang Chen delivering the opening address and setting rules against deliberate killing or maiming. 25

The tournament’s conclusion becomes a crisis when Yu Xiaogang poisons Bibi Dong and seals her inside her hall. Jiang Chen responds by exposing Leng Ningxue as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast, killing Tang San and Yu Xiaogang, dismantling the remaining Shrek faction, and recruiting Oscar. 26 27

After Bibi Dong survives the poisoning, Wuhun Hall imprisons Leng Ningxue in the Sin Domain. Jiang Chen ultimately kills her and absorbs her hundred-thousand-year Bloodthirsty Grass Soul Ring for the Azure Lotus. 29
