Hearing his father's words, Uchiha Itachi obediently looked at him, only to meet a pair of scarlet Mangekyou Sharingan. Their pattern resembled shuriken and brimmed with killing intent.

With one prepared and the other caught off guard, the defenseless Uchiha Itachi fell victim to Uchiha Fugaku's Mangekyou Sharingan technique—Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto.

This genjutsu was essentially an upgraded version of Itachi's Tsukuyomi. It could pull a person's mind into an illusionary world and put their physical body to sleep. Within that illusionary world, he was invincible, and at night, it required very little ocular power to cast. If he was willing to expend ocular power, he could even manifest injuries suffered in the illusionary world in reality.

Seeing Uchiha Itachi fall asleep, Takuya did not relax. Before long, Uchiha Hideki hurried over carrying a white briefcase.

"Clan Head, I am happy to serve you. There is no need for payment."

Uchiha Hideki hurriedly refused. What a joke—he had performed an eye extraction on the clan head's own son, and he was supposed to accept payment? What if the clan head held a grudge and retaliated later? He did not want to be targeted by the clan head.

Although the eye extraction had been ordered by the clan head, it was still his biological son.

Takuya neither agreed nor disagreed. After refusing, Uchiha Hideki simply left.

Just as Takuya was about to put away the pair of Mangekyou Sharingan, he suddenly froze.

The mechanical voice that abruptly rang out in his mind filled his face with wild joy.

Although he had removed a pair of Itachi's eyes, Takuya had not lowered his guard.

His eyes were currently undergoing fusion and evolution. He did not know whether he could still use them, but to be safe, he definitely would not. If using them affected the fusion and caused the Eternal Eye's evolution to fail, he would have nowhere to cry.

He decided that, for this hour of fusion and evolution, he would not use the Mangekyou Sharingan at all.

It would be best if he did not use Chakra either.
