Background / History
Fairy Yuechan cultivated within the Heaven Mending Sect, a major sect of the Eight Realms of the Lower Bound. Regarded with admiration by its disciples for both her beauty and cultivation, she could fly without a sword and was treated as an exceptional figure within the sect. 15
Shi Hao selected her through the Contract System as a potential ally to cultivate inside the Dao Flower’s Pocket World. The system identified the invited Yuechan as a secondary body, Qinglian, whose entry could potentially be sensed by her main body without affecting it because of the realm’s unusual time flow. 14
While cultivating, Yuechan sensed a distant mysterious summons. She followed it across the Desolate Domain to the Black Sea, discovered a black flower in a sea of flowers, and touched one of its petals. The flower’s ancient force drew her into the Dao Flower and carried her to Douluo Continent. 15 16
After descending in Tiangeng City, Yuechan initially distrusted Shi Hao and drew her sword when he provoked her. However, his willow branch carried an aura she associated with the Desolate Domain, and she confirmed that the Pocket World’s time and laws were isolated from the outside world. The prospect of centuries of cultivation passing as less than a day outside convinced her to remain. 16
Yuechan attempted to break through the Pocket World’s spatial barrier but found that its laws immediately repaired every crack she made. Unable to leave independently, she accepted Shi Hao’s terms: she would act as his guard while he guided her through the realm and eventually helped her depart. 17
Secondary-body identity
The narrative uses more than one name for Yuechan’s manifested identity:
- The system calls the invited body Qinglian, Yuechan’s secondary body. 14
- Shi Hao later calls her Qingyi, revealing that he recognizes her secondary-body identity and startling her. 36
- Yuechan continues to introduce herself publicly as Yuechan. 33
Appearance
Yuechan is depicted as an ethereal, noble-looking woman whose composed bearing makes her appear distant and difficult to approach. Her clothing varies between white, pale-blue, and blue gauze dresses, while she commonly conceals part of her face with a thin pink veil. 15 16 20 24
- Long black hair, described as smooth and waterfall-like. 15 17
- Fair, jade-like skin and an oval face with star-like or sea-deep eyes. 15 16 33
- A slender, graceful build and an aloof, celestial presence. 15 22 34
- Often wears a pink veil when traveling publicly. 15 17 18
- Carries an emerald-green longsword at her waist or in hand. 16 25
Personality
Yuechan is composed, proud, and cautious around unfamiliar people. She challenges Shi Hao’s claims rather than accepting them blindly, personally testing the Pocket World’s laws before agreeing to cooperate with him. 16 17
Despite her pride, she is practical and strongly devoted to cultivation. She accepts the bodyguard arrangement because she cannot leave the realm alone, intending to comprehend its laws, advance to the Venerable Realm, and eventually reach the Divine Flame Realm before departing. 17 22
She maintains clear boundaries with Shi Hao and repeatedly objects to his unwanted teasing, yet gradually comes to respect his ambition to oppose the God Realm’s control over lower worlds. She ultimately promises to clear obstacles for him after hearing his plan to establish a new cultivation system. 22 23
Yuechan is not needlessly cruel in battle. After defeating Huyan Zhen’s Martial Soul True Body, she deliberately spares his life despite possessing the strength to kill him. 21
Abilities & Skills
Peak Array Formation Realm Cultivation
Yuechan’s cultivation vastly exceeds the Douluo Continent’s conventional soul-master hierarchy. Her strength is presented as sufficient to dominate Soul Douluo and Title Douluo-level opponents. 21 34
- Flies without relying on a flying sword. 15
- Moves over hundreds of meters in a single flash and can infiltrate guarded locations without detection. 23 36
- Her attempt to escape the Pocket World failed because the realm’s laws repaired the spatial damage she caused. 17
- She believes the Pocket World could support her breakthrough to the Supreme Venerable or Divine Flame Realm, though it would cease to benefit her after the latter breakthrough. 22
Swordsmanship
Yuechan wields refined sword qi through her emerald-green longsword, combining overwhelming force with precise control. 20 21
- Repelled dozens of Elephant Armor Sect Soul Kings with a single sword strike. 20
- Defeated Huyan Zhen’s Diamond Mammoth Martial Soul True Body with A Sword From the West, piercing him while deliberately sparing his life. 21
- Cut through the Sacred Giant Dragon’s attack, severely injuring the martial soul fusion and causing backlash to Yu Xiaogang, Liu Erlong, and Flender. 24
- Overpowered Chen Xin’s enhanced Seven Killings True Body with A Sword From the West. 34
True Dragon Divine Technique
When Gu Rong’s Bone Dragon Divine Dragon broke her initial defensive shield, Yuechan answered with an incomplete True Dragon Divine Technique that manifested an enormous azure dragon. 36 37
- Her azure dragon overwhelmed Gu Rong’s Bone Dragon and forced his martial soul back into its ninth soul ring. 37
- Used Dragon God Tail Sweep to smash Dugu Bo’s Jade-Scaled Snake Emperor form through multiple buildings. 37
- The technique’s collateral shockwaves damaged the palace square and surrounding structures. 37
Ten Heavenly Caves, Spirit Body Manifestation
Yuechan can create ten purple heavenly-cave wheels and combine them into a colossal Spirit Body formed of pure spiritual energy. 38
- The manifested Spirit Body resembles an enormous purple version of Yuechan. 38
- It blocked Chen Xin’s Ninth Soul Skill: Demon-God Twin Slashes with one raised hand. 38
- The Spirit Body shattered the attack’s sword qi without Yuechan showing visible strain. 39
Defensive Techniques
Yuechan can form spiritual defenses strong enough to withstand attacks from local Title Douluo-level combatants. 35
- Created a crystal-blue shield that stopped Dugu Bo’s Medusa’s Gaze without trembling. 35
- The shield was later broken by Gu Rong’s stronger Bone Dragon Divine Dragon, forcing Yuechan to evade and escalate to the True Dragon Divine Technique. 36

- Heavenly Silkworm Underwear — purchased by Shi Hao as a gift after the Tiangeng City auction; Yuechan declined to try it immediately. 19
