Something big had happened? Hadn't the tea party only just ended? What could possibly have happened? Qin Fen was utterly baffled, completely unaware of the terrifying consequences of his talking Lucifer into going on strike.
The entire Eighteen Levels of Hell were now in chaos. Fortunately, Ksitigarbha was there to hold the fort. He was a Buddha, after all; otherwise, suppressing these countless departed souls would have been next to impossible.
"Sorry, I need to use the restroom!" Qin Fen grabbed his phone and ran off. Little Huang's smile instantly froze. You could at least have praised us!
His sister-in-law had no comment. He had only just gone back at the restaurant. Brother-in-law, do you have a bladder problem?
The Queen Mother, however, seemed to sense something. "Could something have gone wrong at the tea party?"
While everyone speculated, Qin Fen was just as puzzled. He reached the restroom, found a stall, and began asking questions.
"What happened?"
"Something terrible has happened, Teacher! I don't know what's wrong with the Underworld-no, with the Six Paths. A huge number of departed souls have become extremely agitated. They seem filled with resentment. They've started causing trouble, demanding better food, more entertainment facilities, and more reincarnation slots!" Ksitigarbha was helpless too. Was any of that his decision to make? The Six Paths were still being rebuilt, but he couldn't tell the dead that. Explaining would only make things worse.
"Didn't you preach to calm them down?" Qin Fen was unconvinced. If even you, Ksitigarbha, can't handle it, what am I supposed to do?
"I did, but there are simply too many of them. All we can do now is ask the Mount Tai God for help. Unfortunately, his people still haven't arrived!"
Ksitigarbha was suffering, and he began tattling!
"Understood. Call a meeting!"
