"Now imagine thousands of you doing the same thing. That should tell you how awful it is down there!

"You don't want Edna killed by her own people before she's even set out, do you?"

Edna burst out laughing... then Old School Striking King's furious roar made her realize how serious it was. Usually, one shout from her Sanda King sister was enough to silence everyone. If she kept shouting like this, one wrong move could wipe out the whole group.

Watching the Undead whip up winds with desperate intensity, Edna quietly pulled a magic scroll from her robes.

Their winds were already powerful. The broken flowers, trees, and debris below had been blown hundreds of meters away.

But Old School Striking King was still roaring. "There's a hole on the left! Hurry, blow everything left!

"If Edna gets poisoned, I'll come looking for you to practice on every day!"

The people of Demon Cult and Black Rose knew exactly what she meant by "practice": she would bring the Wild Boar Legion to block their doors. Nobody wanted to step outside straight into a mud bog.

So everyone who could cast wind magic got to work.

Edna felt countless buffs settle over her. Some were especially costly: spells that required expensive materials to resist damage from every element, and divine magic that could rapidly neutralize poison. They were so expensive that many Undead would rather die than use such a defense on themselves.

It really was serious.
