Glasya had probably used up all her brains competing in wits and courage with her father and his subordinates, which was why she had made such a crazy move.

Perhaps she had thought Lathander would be too lonely coming here alone, so she had specially invited Selûne as well?

There was naturally a reason why such crude and overly primitive Moon-Prayer Dance could be sensed by the Silver Moon Goddess.

As Toril's primordial goddess, the faith Selûne first received had originally come from beasts with just a little intelligence.

When beasts worshipped the moon, all they wanted was to eat better and live longer. Back then, Gods had been willing to extend their hands in response to such heartfelt pleas.

For example, Chauntea.

The powerful beasts surrounding her had all been gathered during that era.

As Toril became increasingly complete, beasts grew more intelligent, and the various races appeared. Only then did worship become ritualized.

At first, the Gods of Toril barely knew how to receive or use faith. In the end, they all learned from foreign Gods. Their nature was probably cold and detached, so while they might not have learned much else, they quickly learned how to use the power of faith to maintain their strength and protect their comforts.

So, they merely showed disdain for those primitive rituals. It was never that they truly could not hear them.

Of course, that referred to Gods born divine.

In a sense, only Selûne would forever remain that Silver Moon Goddess.

To those close to her, that unchanging personality was the greatest headache. But to Toril... only the phrase "the Silver Moon remains unchanged through eternity" was true.
