"Amaunator, stop!
Do you want to destroy this world?" Lathander's voice rang through the skies.
"Lathander... why must you meddle?" A voice rang out, solemn and serious, deep and forceful, yet somehow effeminate. "Why can't you be like you were before?
As long as your own believers were safe, didn't you ignore even the catastrophes that threatened to destroy Toril?
What would it matter if this place were utterly destroyed?
An evil world ruled by devils has no right to survive."
To some extent, Amaunator really did have principles he stuck to... for instance, he never considered humans creatures worth so much as a glance.
He crudely judged their worth solely by their alignment.
Hill felt a little sick listening to him... it was hardly surprising that this fellow had fallen.
If establishing the law had been left to him, Toril would probably still have belonged to dragons and elves.
After all, in his eyes, only the strong deserved to live and enjoy life.
"Hah." Lathander sneered. "Something like you dares call himself a Sun God?
Wherever it shines, the sun represents hope!
You destroyed this world's sun... with such an enormous sin on your shoulders, are you trying to become the only evil sun in the universe?
Hah... I doubt Cyric would welcome you competing with him for the title of Dark Sun."
Selûne scrambled to her feet in a panic, then sat back down in a daze.
Hill couldn't help glancing at her.
"When I tossed Aislin over there, I left a recording device along the way," the Silver Moon Maiden said in sudden realization. "What am I panicking for?
This is all Lathander's fault."
Then she turned her palm upward and produced a beautiful, exquisite little silver box... it was the most expensive model of recording equipment
