Lathander felt that Hill's heart was no kinder than his own.
Though the areas on either side leading to the Mage Tower's entrance looked vast, there was really only one narrow path through them.
And with the road slick at every step, covered in a mixture of ice and water... if the Undead wanted to circle around to the front of the tower, they would have to walk very, very carefully.
If they ran too eagerly, they might very well leap straight into the sea.
Unless the Undead could work together, avoid giving each other trouble, and refrain from rushing to snatch quests... but how could that possibly happen?
Even for a single brick, if someone tried to take it from them, the Undead would rather fall headfirst into the mud... just to be one second faster than someone else.
And as for snatching quests, there was even less need to mention it.
Even one more copper coin than someone else was a victory.
With Undead like that... Lathander could already see corpses strewn everywhere in the future.
Then he silently stepped back twice, suddenly realizing why Hill could be so ruthless... it was all thanks to the beautiful speech he had just made.
Since Hill knew the Undead were preparing a wonderful welcome party for him, how could he possibly let them off easily?
Besides, this had originally been a temporary camp before Dawn Tower was built... given the Undead's nature, they would not truly form a deadly grudge over it, and the quests here would come to an end.
When it came to understanding the Undead, no one who had dealt with them from the very beginning knew them better than Hill did.
He had them completely in his grasp—that was what Young Master had said last time,
