William gently swallowed the sigh rising in his throat and forced a fairly normal smile onto his face. "Then, what we have left to do in this world is..."
Hill cut him off bluntly. "Archmage Rute of the Black Enigma Tower will probably be here soon.
Do you want to clear out Despair Tower, or would it be better to cooperate with him?
Though he was fooled badly, he knows Despair Tower quite well.
But what happens afterward... has nothing to do with me."
Hill looked into the distance. Russell and Carpenter's Mage Tower had already reached its third floor.
The construction materials they used had gone from naively relying heavily on what the Undead provided to realizing something was wrong, tearing it all down, and selecting a more suitable blend. That had taken only a day.
Hill was actually quite satisfied.
Though he had reminded Russell long ago that construction materials had to comply with this world's rules, there was nothing wrong with children always wanting something better.
Russell and Carpenter had not used only materials supplied by the Undead.
It was just that compared to the gloomy colors of this world's stone, what the Undead brought out naturally suited young people's tastes more.
If they could use something brilliant and dazzling, who would want to keep using dull, dark materials?
Russell had merely harbored a bit of wishful thinking, but after the first floor of the Mage Tower was completed, he noticed the problem and decisively changed his mind.
The Mage Tower was still not very tall, but it was clearly much more harmonious now.
Though it obviously contained plenty of meteorite materials... this world was accustomed to drawing nourishment from the Starry Sky, so any meteorite material could be used to some extent.
What Russell and Carpenter
