The Elven God-King's Apology, Part One

Shar had probably left long ago.

The top of King's Hall remained open for a long time. Even though there might have been danger, William gazed at the sky above with fervent enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, no other phenomenon appeared.

To Shar, this had merely been an interesting journey to another world, where she had met an adorable admirer.

She would never stay outside Toril for too long for any reason.

That was the place she loved most, though her way of loving it was somewhat hard to accept.

Hill glanced at William twice and realized that he really did like Shar.

Even though he was facing the famously temperamental and ruthless Goddess of Darkness, William still showed a trace of reluctance at her departure.

He had almost closed the top of the palace in dejection. Not seeing Shar's true appearance seemed to have left him somewhat sad.

But even so, William only wished that Shar would remain powerful forever, that her divine authority would endure, and that she would always be beautiful and captivating. He firmly refused, however, to wish for Shar to achieve her desires.

It seemed that even when facing the idol in his heart, William had still maintained his moral integrity.

After all, if that goddess truly achieved her goal, the entire Toril Universe would be completely destroyed.

Even though it was another world, William could never curse all life in the world to vanish for the sake of the goddess in his heart.

He returned to his seat, held the crystal ball in his hand, and stared blankly for a while.

Then he said, "Spencer, have the Undead bypass the capital and completely eradicate the Evil Alignment throughout the Kingdom of Magic.
