Fortunately, Tyr's Holy Knights were with the Black Rose crowd.
Those Holy Knights had all spent time in Faerunriel. They knew that if they made reasonable requests of the Undead, the Undead would usually comply.
Black Rose's Knights had formed a tight ring, holding up their greatshields to keep the people using Faction Detection outside it.
But the merchants in town watched uneasily. The visitors from another world's first reaction to the Luskanites had made them question how safe Aglaia Town really was.
Toril had little to fear from Holy Knights of the Lawful Good Alignment. Most of them listened to reason and were willing to follow certain unspoken rules.
But chaotic good and Neutral Good Alignment alike could cause serious trouble.
People who went around using Faction Detection everywhere usually belonged to one of those two groups, especially the neutral ones. They never cared how their actions affected others, only whether they were staying true to their own path.
In short, elves were trouble.
It had been elves who toppled the dragons from their throne for Toril's future. It had also been elves who, trying to help Lathander become a Supreme God, destroyed an entire pantheon and several empires tied to it, including Myth Drannor.
But the elves had retreated to Evermeet and the forests over a thousand years ago. Many people had forgotten their grand achievements.
Besides, what was left of elven grace among those on Evermeet? They were little different from the most decadent human empires.
The way these otherworldly elves simply did as they pleased sent a chill through people who had grown up hearing tales of elves.
They seemed more like the elves from before the Dawn Cataclysm.
No wonder the
