On the screen, the Undead had wiped out every insect in the cavern and were splitting up to enter the maze of narrow passages. The ones heading in were those who had stood at the back earlier and barely gotten a chance to fight.

Those who had fought at the front were dividing the spoils in the middle of the cavern. Hill had already offered a price for the Insect King's corpse, the most valuable prize, so there was no need to fall out over it. Everyone cheerfully stripped shells from the insects instead. The major guilds seemed to have reached an agreement, perhaps because they had no plans to return to the surface anytime soon. The Mohrgs had actually killed fewer people, but they had caused far more panic than the Ghouls. Once people spotted one nearby, most fled in a frenzy instead of killing it at once.

Some would even throw themselves onto a Ghoul's or an insect's claws rather than accept a Mohrg's embrace.

So the bodies scattered across the battlefield were understandable. Only a few people had gotten back to their feet with help from the Priests.

Undead Priests could use Resurrection to bring people back, but the spell consumed plenty of crystals. William had always been sensible about that: the person being resurrected paid the cost, not the Priest who bought the materials.
