The Undead didn't care what was strange about the enemies before them. As far as they were concerned, enemies could turn into anything.
If they could hurt them, they were good enemies. If they weren't disgusting to look at, they were a gift from the heavens.
The Dilo Dwarves were ugly, but at least their ugliness was distinctive. They looked the way monsters ought to look... and at least they weren't maggots.
The Undead quickly formed their battle lines. While the enemy was still crouched behind the barricades, before the two sides became tangled in melee, their spellcasters unleashed Blizzard.
Xue Yunfeng had grown familiar with the monsters of this world. After seeing the rivers of lava along their route, he'd told the Undead to focus on ice spells for now. They had to choose between ice and fire for their area attacks.
Alternating ice and fire could be an excellent tactic, but the Undead couldn't manage the timing that perfectly. They were more likely to cancel each other out.
Hill noticed something, though. The Light Law mages in platinum-white robes had been placed in the same area as the Space-Time Sorcerers. That was probably the trump card they were holding back.
Sunlight did terrible damage to Dilo Dwarves, but their strongest warriors were either Shadow Stalkers or Sun Warriors who could live in daylight.
Until those Sun Warriors were cleared out, the Light Law mages did need to stay hidden. There weren't many of them, and their attacks were less accurate.
As for the Space-Time Sorcerers, they were probably there to deal with the Space-Time Dragons that could vanish in sunlight.
They really were well suited to working together.
