In the Undead's world, clearing the field before fighting a boss was routine! Sometimes they had to complete a quest first, or search for traps and mechanisms. One wrong move could send everyone back to town. They were used to it.
That was why the Undead always fought with a strange composure. You do your thing, I'll do mine... as long as I don't die, you will.
So even as the Dilo Dwarf elders kept calling on the Divine Artifact hidden beneath the volcano to replenish the barrier, the Undead simply cycled through spells of every kind. The arrows filling the sky never let up.
The Undead were delighted to find themselves in a battle where they did not have to worry about defense. Not having to aim carefully made it a feast, and most of them spent their mana freely.
The Holy Knights still stood in the front ranks in their armor, but only to guard against a surprise attack by the Dilo Dwarves. With the barricades and the barrier between them, there was no real chance of close combat.
So besides the ranged archers, even combat classes like Swordsmen, warriors, and Knights happily pulled out longbows they rarely used and fired into the sky with all their might.
The long battle was tedious, but the Dilo Dwarves grew more nervous by the moment. The evil Divine Artifact would not spend its own power to help them. The energy replenishing the barrier came from the Magic Books in their hands.
