Hill looked at the broad curtain, where a road of light leading straight to the Magic Great Wall had appeared, and smiled disdainfully. It looked impressive, but one glance was enough to tell him that the road could only last thirty days.
After all, in order to display the Sun God's incomparable might, the road had devoted more of its power to driving off the God-Monsters... If it had been Hill, he would probably have strengthened the road's defenses until the God-Monsters could not break through it. After all, the God-Monsters only possessed the elemental powers of Fire-Element Law and Air-Element Law, along with great physical strength. Tailored defenses would not have required such an enormous expenditure of power.
Wasn't Calimshan supposed to fall under the Sun God Temple's command in the future? Amaunator and that grail could not possibly fail to understand how important an eternal road was to a nation built around trade.
Yet they had still chosen to devote more power to intimidating the God-Monsters in order to demonstrate Amaunator's might... It merely meant that the God-Monsters could not approach the road for thirty days.
Hill sneered. Perhaps the grail was also worried that if the road remained open, the Undead would go to Manshaka and compete with them for the hearts of the people?
So shortsighted.
Just like when Amaunator had watched the appearance of that Instantaneous God... Perhaps he had simply wanted to see Mystryl, who had always looked down on him, make a fool of herself!
In the end, she had transformed herself into all things and become part of the Magic Weave, while he himself had been cast down from his Divine Kingdom.
One had to know that back then, the Sun God Church had been the state religion of the Netheril Empire...
