He knew little about Sigil, but the dozens of planes the transaction had passed through showed just how determined the Lady of Pain had been to get the sisters.

She had even paid the Consortium a fortune to move the princesses again and again across multiple planes, all to keep the Elven Pantheon from picking up their trail.

Xue Yunfeng figured the Moonflower Princesses were probably doomed. He sighed.

That was why he preferred combat missions to investigations like this. No matter the game, Eastern or Western, every search and every tangled mystery seemed bound to end in tragedy.

The victims either died spectacularly or miserably. Either way, it was always meant to make people cry over the NPCs. Anyone with a soft heart could hardly stand these tearjerkers.

Xue Yunfeng silently sorted the files in his hands into rough categories.

He was in a foul mood, so he promptly copied all the bills for assassinations commissioned by various nobles and sent them to Prince Holmes for a look.

Whether the prince dealt with them, and how, was his business. Xue Yunfeng made sure the courier emphasized that these were copies.

If the Imbutu crown prince wanted to frame someone, set an enemy up to be killed, or even pin the murders on someone else, well...
