The Sword Coast's long-awaited peaceful days finally came to an end with the disturbances in Hidden Town.
The two years Hill had anticipated lasted only a year and a half. Edna, nearing adulthood, was tempted by a group of young adventurers into embarking on a short journey around the area before coming of age.
Xexili, the female leader of the Mithril Elves, had always spoiled children. She felt that near the Sword Coast, there simply could not be an enemy their Aglaia lord could not defeat.
Even if Edna got into trouble, there would be no problem as long as the lord was willing to back her up... Being underage was exactly what made it fine!
Who would insist on holding a child accountable?
It was better to make all the mistakes she was bound to make now. Once she became an adult and went traveling, she would cause less trouble.
The little ones tempting Edna into this were somewhat suspicious, but Xexili had long known what Edna's parents were like. She did not know whether she should notify that lady in Luskan... The Mithril Elves had no favorable impression of her. Despite being so close by, that woman had never once come to visit her own daughter.
No matter how broad-minded she was, she should at least have taught the child survival skills before letting her live alone! Even with the White Dragon Queen around, she was a companion, not a mother!
The only decent thing that lady had done was send Edna thirty thousand gold coins and some jewelry.
That amount of wealth would count as a respectable dowry in the eyes of Toril's nobility... But what was it to a Mage?
Still, Xexili understood that humans and Elves were different. She deliberated for several days before finally
