Encountering Adolf
The Freedom Alliance's stronghold was wiped out by Legendary Boss, and no one knows who that boss is yet.
This kind of news is met with great joy and celebration on the Dawn Forum!
Because the Freedom Alliance went to the Emerald Grand Duchy first and established a firm foothold there, many Player who went there later were bullied by them.
These guys, who have the home-field advantage, often gang up on new Player, stalk them to steal monsters and equipment, and harass women, among other shady tactics.
Seeing the Freedom Alliance's base being slaughtered, not only did no one pity them, but they also posted all sorts of gloating expressions and comments, which almost drove the Freedom Alliance Player crazy.
However, what angered them even more was...
There has been no official explanation.
Instead, they featured their story on the homepage, highlighting it in large red letters with the caption. "The Consequences of Angry Legendary NPC!"
Tsk tsk.
These bizarre actions angered many Freedom Alliance Player, causing them to quit the game or secretly switch to other guilds. However, with only 20,000 members, they couldn't even afford name change cards, so no one would take them in.
Of course, the Player of the Freedom Alliance have a very eccentric Faith, and many of them possess a spirit of 'preferring death to surrender'.
William, being a remarkable and endearing Legendary Boss, is a man destined for great things and naturally wouldn't stoop to the level of petty squabbles with Player. He simply instructed Eric, who was stationed there, to go and kill a bunch of enemies whenever he had free time...
Kill them until they can't take care of themselves. That's enough.
We must strive to drive them out of the Emerald Grand Duchy.
These guys are so arrogant, let's go to the Kingdom then!
Once Dawn City has developed into the Kingdom, we can continue killing and see whether the Freedom Alliance Player are more stubborn or Dawn City's swords are tougher.
If they're so capable, they should pledge allegiance to a powerful force and see if Dawn City dares to touch them then.
William and his group of six were on the official road heading towards the Nightmare Forest. Along the way, they encountered many Professional with the same goal, but they were all very cautious and did not talk much.
This Nightmare Forest completely separates Lanyu and Emerald to the east and west. The forest is vast and stretches endlessly, reaching the border of the Kingdom Faction to the north and bordering the Sloran Duchy to the south.
This forest is home not only to various Magical Beast, but also to many Dark Creatures.
Hidden within are many Black Warlock, bloodthirsty Vampires, Bounty Hunter, and even Dragon that dare not show themselves.
William also knew one more thing: there was a city belonging to the Dark Forces inside this forest.
Commonly known as the Dark City, and nicknamed the City of Slaughter.
The people in this city aren't like those in Bernard's Eastsea City; at least they abide by the rules of the Human Empire.
The people of Dark City are wicked and take pleasure in chaos and destruction. They often sow discord between other countries or murder talented Professional.
Thinking about this, William even suspected that the news about the ' Bloodline Fruit ' might have been spread by them.
He remembered something: one of the four maps of ' Blood Dragon Essence ' was in the Dark City, belonging to a powerful Vampires.
"If that's really the case, then that's quite interesting," William pondered silently.
Back in the previous game, at the beginning of version 3.0, the Dark Invasion issue had been largely resolved, and Player no longer paid attention to those things.
As Player progressed into the Emerald Grand Duchy, they discovered that the Three Factions of Emerald, Lanyu, and Eastsea City were on the verge of war.
Player at the time had no choice and no time to investigate why the three parties were constantly vying for power.
Just like in Three Factions factions as a stake.
Later, the Dark City in the Nightmare Forest was gradually introduced.
Player then began to suspect that the Dark City might be secretly instigating something.
In short, version 3.0 is a chaotic free-for-all, with multiple factions and forces mixed together, leaving Player who are fighting to the death almost bewildered, and some even wondering why they are fighting at all.
"Until the Player realized the truth—that they were actually working for a bunch of Vampires —tsk tsk, it's really heartbreaking." William thought about the many quests in version 3.0, and now he also felt that Gods was really a rip-off.
But it must be said...
Gods sets up a series of major pitfalls for Player in the early stages, which really trains Player thinking and adaptability. It makes most Player doubt and refrain from making judgments when faced with a situation.
Only at the very end will we be able to determine who is good and who is evil.
Even after some things have reached a final conclusion, many Player still remain skeptical.
There's no way around it.
I'm scared of being scammed again!
However, there are quite a few people like the ' Freedom Alliance ' who are stubborn to the end. Since others can't deal with them, William can gladly do it for them, and he can gain some experience in the process.
Groups of Professional, based on the intelligence they had received, entered the eerie Nightmare Forest.
William saw many small groups fighting each other along the way, and he didn't know if they were looking for the ' Bloodline Fruit ' or if they were just there to fight.
However, the aura of the six of them was indeed not weak, and many of the Professional they encountered on the road were the kind who were utterly incompetent, so nothing untoward happened.
By this point, riding a horse was out of the question; they could only walk until their legs gave way.
William and his companions dismounted and walked. As soon as they entered the Nightmare Forest, they vaguely sensed a chilling wind.
"Tsk tsk, look at this little guy, he's really clever." Tyrannosaur pointed to a large spider with hundreds of eyes on its back, and then stretched out his finger, letting the spider slowly crawl onto his hand.
"Damn, let's go, let's go." Wells felt a chill and quickly took his leave.
The other four nodded in agreement, keeping their distance from Tyrannosaur. It wasn't that the spider was particularly powerful, but rather that it was genuinely disgusting. They especially hadn't expected that such a rough and tough guy like Tyrannosaur would have such a unique taste.
"This is unusual, very unusual. Everyone be careful. There's something strange about this Nightmare Forest. Try to follow the tracks left by others."
The reason they don't fly into the sky is because the flying skills of High-Class Professional are too poor.
High-Class Professional, except for the Winged Folk, are easy targets for Flying Magical Beast in the sky.
Burning Ash Ember looked around and noticed that the trees in the Nightmare Forest were strange. They were all black, and the trunks looked like human faces, while the outstretched Withered Wood resembled the claws of monsters.
Getting your clothes caught on every now and then can definitely give you a pretty good fright.
William nodded. "There's very little green vegetation here, and it carries a faint aura of darkness, indicating that this forest contains many Demon Cavern and a large number of Dark Creatures."
Pfft!
Tyrannosaur crushed the Hundred-Eyed Spider had bitten his finger, green blood flowing from between his fingers. After throwing away the oozing spider, he grinned and said, "The venom was really potent. But spiders, cute as they are, are just not very obedient."
"..." The others were speechless, and were just about to continue exploring according to the map when...
But then they heard an extremely pitiful scream.
Everyone looked at William.
His Prince raised an eyebrow, snapped his fingers while wearing Gloves, and gestured for someone to come and take a look.
The six people slowly walked towards the sound.
They spotted a guy who had stepped into a trap!
The man, wearing the same black cloak, stepped into the trap with both feet simultaneously, revealing blood and bare bones. His screams were gradually fading, and he seemed to be on the verge of death.
But William and the others just watched...
Motionless.
They have absolutely no compassion for the vulnerable.
There's nothing I can do.
This is clearly a trap, a pitfall.
They're not idiots; they're seasoned bosses who've seen it all. How could they be fooled by such a petty trick?
As His Prince grew increasingly impatient, and still no enemies appeared...
He frowned, took out his Legendary-Quality Lightning Bow, and fired an arrow with a thud.
The arrow, crackling with Thunder, arrived in an instant.
With a loud bang.
The Humanoid Being hidden beneath the black robe died instantly.
And he completely exposed his physique.
That wasn't a human at all; it was a captured, rotting Corpse Fiend being used as bait in a trap.
Tyrannosaur and the others frowned. If they weren't Professional frequently faced Dark Creatures, they would have no idea that female Corpse Fiend would scream like humans when they were injured.
at the same time.
More than twenty Professional, hidden in the shadows, slowly surrounded them from both sides.
These people, like William and his group, were all dressed in black robes, concealing their faces under their hoods; they were clearly not good people.
William raised an eyebrow, stepped forward, and chuckled, "We're all here for the ' Bloodline Fruit.' We haven't even arrived yet. Is it necessary to fight to the death and let others benefit?"
The group of men in black robes exchanged glances, then suddenly burst into mocking laughter.
Directly in front of the six of them stood a man engulfed in black flames. He kicked the Corpse Fiend away, tilted his head, and looked over, sneering, "Take off your equipment and Space Ring, and get lost."
William and the others remained calm as he unleashed one Insight after another. Although he couldn't discern their detailed information, he could discern their bloodline potential.
The guy directly in front of me is Legendary.
There are also six Epic, eight Grandmaster, and the rest are all Advanced Bloodline.
There are 25 people in total.
It has to be said.
This is definitely a very big undertaking.
However, William seemed to have realized something, and coupled with the black Flame Battle Aura emanating from the person in front of him, why did it seem so familiar?
Then he suddenly spoke up, "Adolf."
The moment those three words were uttered...
The atmosphere instantly became very strange.
The guy with black Battle Aura flames burning on his body was also a little confused. "I've been recognized already?"
Are you kidding me?
I'm in the Nightmare Forest, not the Blackleaf Forest, okay?
Ever since I got scammed twice in the Blackleaf Forest, I came here and completely changed my name. How could I possibly be recognized?
But now, not only Adolf is filled with doubt.
William was the same; he originally had Epic Bloodline, but what treasure did he acquire that made him Legendary?
Could the Bloodline Fruit be real?
Or did he use some other method?
Could the news about the ' Bloodline Fruit ' have also been leaked by them, in an attempt to profit from and kill someone?
After all, the profession of Bounty Hunter is too shady. Everyone will try to steal it, whether it's the light or the dark side. If there's a huge reward, they'll even kill their own people to steal it.
The two groups were temporarily locked in a standoff.
They looked at each other in silence.
But not long after...
A deafening roar followed.
Adolf and the others immediately ran there without looking back, not lingering for a moment.
William and his six companions exchanged glances and followed, eager to see what kind of enormous monster was inside. Could it be the guardian beast of the Bloodline Fruit?
