Why did Grand Archmages build Magic Towers?

There were many benefits.

1. Within his own Magic Tower, a Grand Archmage could more easily perceive the laws of heaven and earth, allowing him to cultivate faster.

2. Science and technology were the primary productive forces, and Mages were servants of truth. A Magic Tower would contain many magical devices, enough for hundreds or even thousands of Mages to conduct experiments and research.

3. Magic Towers were simply too attractive to Mages. With a Magic Tower, Dawn City would attract countless Mages to come pay their respects, and might even trick a few independent Archmages into coming over.

4. It would boost Moxis's personal strength. The stronger the Magic Tower, the greater the boost!

Normally, building a Magic Tower cost a little over twenty million Gold Coins, which most spellcasters could afford.

There was no helping it.

Even the poorest Grand Archmage still had twenty million Gold Coins in his pocket. They were huge spenders, but their ability to make money was equally extraordinary. Enchanting aside, Mages were also masters at crafting equipment.

Even if they had no money, as long as they pledged themselves to any faction, someone would willingly help them build a Magic Tower.

"But isn't your Magic Tower, worth sixty million Gold Coins, a little too expensive?" William looked at the materials on the purchase list.

Not a single one was below Epic quality.

Not to mention anything else, those one thousand Floating Stones alone were worth ten million Gold Coins. He would even have to find the Winged Folk through various means before he could buy them.

Clearly, Moxis intended to build a Magic Tower that could fly.

But William also noticed a problem. This list of materials contained neither the basic construction materials nor the core
