Chapter 477: No more!
"I, Hu Hansan, am back!" After returning to the Far North, William wanted to shout to all the beautiful Elf ladies: Your Prince Charming is back.
Unfortunately,
he couldn't do that.
Because he wasn't the sort to have his heart in two places.
William didn't linger in the Elven Royal City, either, much less visit every Legendary Big Shot to win a little favor.
After all, he'd only been gone a year or so. To many Elves, it was as if he'd stepped out of his house and come right back. He hardly counted as an old friend returning from a long journey.
There was no novelty to it, so he wouldn't gain much favor.
At the very least, he'd wait another three years before making the rounds among those Legendary Big Shots he wasn't especially close to.
Dawn Fortress stood on the front line, in the coldest part of the Legendary Continent.
There was no such thing as a warm, sunny day here.
In this frozen wasteland, every day brought wind and snow, never a round sun shining overhead.
When William stepped out of the fortress Portal,
the two guards squatting nearby roasting sweet potatoes widened their eyes. Raising their potatoes, they shouted, "His Highness is back! His Highness is back!"
Then
the two came to their senses and flailed about, ready to throw their sweet potatoes away.
William waved them off. "When in Rome. It really is cold here. I'll have someone install a Magic Formation in the hall."
"Thank you, Your Highness." The two Half-Elf guards choked up as they bit into their sweet potatoes. The Portal Hall was the only place that never closed its doors.
And damn, was it cold!
They were both High-Class Professionals and could endure a day with
