His right hand clenched into a fist and hammered against his left chest again and again. An unstoppable pain surged up from his heart, building in his chest with each thunderous beat.
"Damn it! Damn Voldemort! How dare you... how dare you do this to my Uchiha..."
Madara lowered his head, his left hand pressed against the bedframe. The wood creaked under unbearable strain, visible cracks spreading from the headboard to the footboard, splintered fibers curling outward along their edges. Even the entire hall he stood in trembled faintly.

His Sharingan evolved amid the chaos.
His eyes sensed the change first. A persistent burning heat pushed outward from within his irises, spreading from the center of his pupils toward the edges before converging at the rim into a more concentrated current of energy. It flowed along the contours of his cheekbones and brow ridges, spreading to either side.
He suddenly opened his eyes, and everything in his vision changed—the mouse feeding deep within a crack in the wall, every twitch of its whiskers clearly visible; the fine claw marks left on the ceiling by a lizard that had passed through five minutes
