He also tapped the three Troll statues frozen in running poses with his staff, nodding as though quite pleased with his handiwork.

Thorin slowly walked over and greeted Gandalf as well, as though their earlier disagreement had never happened.
"These Trolls must have come down from the Ettenmoors."
Gandalf lowered his head to look at the black blood flung from Li Wei's sword and spoke slowly.
"This is no good omen."
The Ettenmoors were a bleak, shadowy land bordering Angmar and the Misty Mountains, and one of the places where Trolls frequently lived and roamed.
"For Trolls to dare travel this far, the last time was when evil ran rampant..."
