The prison door was locked again, and Alfred, lying on the ground, was thrown inside. Before leaving, the Dwarves even picked up some trash and blocked the window with it, so people outside could not see what was happening within.

The group sneaked back to Bard's house and retrieved the Black Arrow.

"This is practically a heavy spear. I don't think an ordinary bow could possibly fire it."

"We'll need the Wind-bow in the center of town."

Bard raised his head and gazed into the distance. The Dwarves followed his gaze.

"That thing's a real killer. I can tell."

"Are we going to lure the dragon over here?"

"No, that would cause too much damage to Lake-town."

"Borrow it from the Master?"

"Do you think, given what the people here think of the Master, that he'd lend us the Wind-bow?"

"Damn it, what kind of people are running this place?!"

"I say we just take it."

"Right, take it!"

"Let's do it. Move out!"

"Wait, hold on. There are a lot of guards in the town center," Bard hurriedly stopped them.

"We can wait until nightfall. There are only a few patrols at night, and there are long gaps between them. We'll have plenty of time to take it away."
