The weather could perhaps be changed back with a single [Rain Dance], but disrupting the opponent's rhythm and wasting their time was enough to achieve the goal.

However, Wallace had no time to worry about whether he should reclaim the weather afterward. Max Flare itself was already something he had to face with everything he had.

It was another physical Max Flare, most likely transformed from a Fire type move with high base power, such as Flare Blitz.

A gigantic fireball large enough to cover half the battlefield kept swelling in midair, burning fiercely and radiating endless light and heat.

The entire arena seemed to leap from deep winter into the height of summer in an instant.

Finally, when it reached its peak, the fireball, as dazzling as a golden crow, suddenly plunged down.

"Slowking, Protect!"

Wallace shouted his command.

There was simply no way to dodge such a terrifying move within the narrow confines of the battlefield. The only option was to endure it head-on with Protect.

Perhaps sensing the terrifying energy contained within that Max Flare, the usually sluggish Slowking immediately unfolded a transparent barrier around its entire body.

The tables had turned. More than ten minutes ago, its teammate Dynamax Milotic had mercilessly crushed the opponent beneath Max Hailstorm. Now, it was Slowking's turn to be bombarded by Max Flare.

Milotic had weathered it perfectly before, but what about Slowking?
