Together Again

"Finally back..." Lin Hai muttered. He dumped the odds and ends he had been carrying and stuffing into his pockets onto the stone table in the backyard. His "spoils" landed with a clatter.

Then he took out his phone and sent a message to their group chat:

Lin Hai: [@everyone—Mission complete. Back on Earth safe and sound. I'm at the clinic. Come by if you're free. I've got some "souvenirs" to hand out, and I'll tell you about the trip.]

After sending the message, he went to the front room. His master, Chen Bing, was taking a patient's pulse.

Lin Hai waited quietly until Chen Bing finished, then went over to greet him. He also mentioned that Gwen and the others would be coming by soon. After hearing Chen Bing's reply, he returned to the backyard.

Back outside, Lin Hai looked at the strange assortment piled on the stone table and decided to sort it out.

Most of what he had brought back had lost nearly all its Dark Energy, but some traces might still remain. He needed to check everything carefully first.

Harry was an ordinary person, after all. Peter could be careless, and although Gwen had learned quite a bit of magic, she was still a beginner with limited resistance to negative energy.

With that in mind, Lin Hai channeled the Life Force within him into his hands and examined each item on the table.

"This metal plaque with runes still has a little energy left. Dispel it!"

The Life Force around his hand rippled. A wisp of black mist was forced out of the plaque, then dissolved like snow within the Life Force.
