When Peter and Harry came up from the underground laboratory for dinner, Peter shared his thoughts.
"Lin, Harry and I talked about upgrading our suits. I want to switch to a metal suit, but I'm worried it'll be too heavy and cumbersome. Do you have any good suggestions?"
Lin Hai looked at him. "It's a good idea. Protection really is an issue with your suit, and Gwen can't possibly have time to put a magic shield on you before every fight. So there's definitely nothing wrong with what you're thinking."
Peter's eyes lit up. "You think so too?"
Lin Hai nodded, then changed the subject. "However, whether it's your suit, Peter, or Harry's armor, my suggestion is to first make a decent version and save some of the rarer, harder-to-obtain materials."
He paused, then added, "Within the next year, there should be an opportunity for a major upgrade to your equipment. When the time comes, you can take that chance to make a final version. It should last you a long time."
Peter and Harry exchanged a glance.
Their longstanding trust in their companion kept them from asking further questions. They merely nodded to show that they understood.
"Fine," Peter said. "We'll listen to you."
